I wish I had done this years ago. It was a perfect fit for me. I have never been a snacker only a binge eater, my brother had gastric sleeve two weeks before I did and he lost about 30 lbs right away but has struggled ever since because he is a snacker eating often and also drinking calories. If you are a snacker and can't deal with that than gastric sleeve is not for you. I am happy with not having a great deal of loose skin, but I do have some in my lower belly and groin area. Gonna have that skin removed. Skin over my back and arms and legs is just a little loose but not sagging like my lower belly, but I think I am one of the lucky ones with that.,

    Terrified

Thing is I WISH I can stay in bed all day but I have a 18 month old and a 5 year old who need mommy and the snacks they eat and food is making it worse. Like I never knew how terrible I was around food and how I have almost nonexistent vontrol. It blows my mind and terrifies me. Never knew the huge hold good had on me mentally and emotionally. I guess you can say today was eye opening. I'm seriously PRAYING I do better tommorow...cuz today I was a lost cause it didn't stop with the chicken stir fry....ughhh Sent from my SM-N910C using BariatricPal mobile app

    Terrified

I am scheduled for Aug. 14th as well, and logged on here because I am feeling the same way. I'm glad it's not just me! I started the liquid diet today as well and have spent most the day in bed. It's the only place I can go to keep my mind off food. I keep telling myself this is just day one and it will get better. Sent from my SM-G955U using BariatricPal mobile app

    What should I do ? ...

Call after August 7 - give the scheduler a day to get back in the office, listen to the 700 voicemails and emails and start to respond and then give a call on the 8th. If you're lucky, s/he will answer the phone and say, oh, I was just about to call you. . . . .

    3 weeks post op

I'm 3 weeks post-op today. Down 22 lbs. determined to only weigh on Tuesday and Fridays only. I think the key is to get in appropriate amount of water and protein. I also am spending some time on the treadmill throughout the day. Good job and good luck!

    So Hungry

I was sleeved on July 26th and feeling very, very hungry since the day after surgery. I have never felt such strong hungry pains in my entire life. It was so bad it woke me up one morning. I wanted so badly to eat something unhealthy at that moment, but instead I grab one chewy calcium vitamin at 5:30am and called it a meal. Now this is pretty bad. LOL
