    Here we go

Not yet. I have my final appointment March 23 and then I think they need final approval from insurance. I'm guessing another month and a half. So nervous and excited! How is the clot? Has it resolved? Is the pain better?

Only ever ate the mealball marinara anyways, but they don't have a sub small enough for a VSG patient and neither my daughter nor wife like my specific sub to share (meatball marinara on italian herbs and cheese, cheddar, sprinkle of parmesan, and loaded with lettuce.. not toasted) so I can't see how I'll manage subs anyhow.

    Plastic Surgery Before Goal

Look up Victoria's Secret model Karolina Kurkova. She has no belly button, and she rocks it.

    Saying goodbye to fast food

Binging is always a bad idea. As is thinking you will never eat certain things again. There are some healthier items you can have at fast food places or eating in much smaller quantities. Some people have a burger without the bun. Or chili at Wendy's. Or grilled nuggets at Chick Fil A.

    Saying goodbye to fast food

I made myself a list (4 restaurants) for my fiancé and I to go to one last time. I would stay away from fast food though..

That's tricky, but I think I would go ahead with surgery and have a good talk with her about how you wished it hadn't come to that.... Use your surgery as a springboard to change the eating habits for the whole family and hopefully help her avoid obesity down the road.

    20 Days until I'm sleeved

I'm excited and feeling impatient! Surgery is April 11. I started this process in July 2016. You're almost there...only 20 days away!

Now, my youngest is 11, so it has been a few years, but honestly I think I would just keep it to what they will experience. "Mommy has to go on a little trip for a few days. You will be taken care of by... I'll be back before you know it, and if you are good, I'll bring a present!" Don't mention what is happening while you are gone, and when you do get back, just say you strained your belly and are sick, so that's why you are sore and resting. There will be time enough later to be honest. At the moment they are really too young.

My hubs was 12/21 and I was 1/9. We could have easily done it at the same time (and we have 4 kids). It was hard not being on the same page food wise for the first few weeks but now we are past that hurdle. We have both lost about 70 lbs since starting our pre op diets. It's been a blessing. I just did a 10 mile fairly difficult hike on Friday. Def couldn't have done that 70 lbs ago.
