    Blood pressure

How soon after surgery did your blood pressure go down? I am hoping that my blood pressure will get lower once I start losing more pounds. As it is, I haven't really been measuring my blood pressure post surgery, although I probably should. I have had a had time taking my blood pressure meds after the gastric sleeve, and I have even thrown up my pills a couple of times. I used to take them all at night, but now I take two pills at night and two in the morning, because four in one sitting is too much.

I agree, plus I am not a huge gatorade fan. But will drink it if needed.

    Nervous on vacation!!!! Help!!!

look at enjoying appetizers or side salads - some places will also allow people kids meals! or look at the a la carte options; instead of a meal a meat and one side or just a side may suit you. most importantly enjoy yourself!!!!

    Blood pressure

I did with my surgeon and my primary doc. I keep a log of my blood pressure readings and they said its fine and normal after surgery. still i keep an eye on it and take my blood pressure twice a day while resting so i can have that info ready on my next visit.

    Nervous on vacation!!!! Help!!!

I know that many of us were taught to not waste food and of course we should try not to but sometimes it’s just not avoidable. If you can pack lunch and dinner and that works out better for you that’s great but give yourself permission to waste a little if it works better too. You are on vacation and you should be enjoying yourself. If there are not any smaller options available and you can’t share with Anyone else then just eat what you can and leave the rest. And remember, you aren’t really wasting money, You are investing in your health which will save you money in the long run. can you eat salad? A lot of times when I am out with another person who won’t eat their entire meal, I will just order a side salad and have a small piece of their protein. Alot of times there are two sides and you can choose a side salad for one of them with a slight up charge. Then I will have a shake for a snack if I didn’t get enough protein that day. Just depends on how you tolerate lettuce. Or can you order a side of veggies and just have a bite or two off of your families plates? If not, just know that whatever you have to do it’s gets easier the further out you get. Try not to stress too much about it though. Enjoy yourself.

Alright friends, I failed to prepare, so I was preparing to fail, and need some guidance/help. I went to a wedding today about a 4 hour drive (in the sticks), and thought I was prepared by bringing a premixed protein shake and a small container of soup. I am about a week post op (ESG), so on a full liquid diet. I left both in my car while I went to the ceremony, social time and cocktail hour, planning to sneak away at various times to have a sip. Time flew by, much socializing occurred, and before I knew it, the soup had spoiled and the protein shake was also undrinkable. At that point, I was absolutely starving and within an hour (once dinner was served), I was dizzy and shaking, even with sips of water. I was worried about my well-being since I had to drive home later in the dark, so I had a few bites of soft sweet potato and tender meat, very very well chewed. I felt less lightheaded and made it back home safely, but feel truly terrible and worried that I messed up my stitches/sutures. Can anyone provide any support? Any idea if that was enough to mess me up? I have been doing so well and am still motivated to stay on track, but I am anxious. My tummy aches a little but it has been aching after basically everything I “eat” except water. Thank you.

    Question on hair loss

Your new hair will be growing but you just can’t see or notice it but then you usually don’t notice new hair growth anyway. Hair grows slowly (only quarter to half an inch a month) but one day you’ll notice little fluffy fly away hair that will be two or so inches long. Oh yeah I agree. I’ll take a little hair loss for a big weight loss too. Wish my hair grew back at least wavy. I spend ages putting kinks & waves in my hair. I did get some kinks (on the back half of my head) when I was peri menopausal but that didn’t last ☹️☹️.
