    Some people who are really struggling on their all liquid diets call and get permission from their team to have a small meal of lean meat and non starchy veggies each day.

    That's awesome!!! Congrats I can't wait until I'm there. Maybe another 10 pounds and I'll get to buy some new stuff, too. It's an awesome problem to have, right? Instead of buying bigger clothes because what you have doesn't fit, you have to buy smaller clothes because of how much weight you've lost!!!!!

    I did several times and no it does not depending on what you are eating. the whole point is to clear the fat off the liver and shrink it. If you cheat and are eating pizza, cheeseburgers ect... and they open you up on surgery date and your liver did not shrink, they will close you back up. Me what i "cheated" with was having 1 small meal a day. mostly 3oz of Sockeye Salmon and 2 ounces of veggies. Or 1 can of tuna. That was it. Tho you should try your hardest to stick to what your surgeon recommended.

    i had 1 incision that was extremely painful compared to the others. That one took a while to feel normal. The rest never really hurt. Surgeon said that one incision is the one where they pulled out the part of the stomach. its larger than the rest too

    I agree with others. If you have a family history of those conditions you may still have them despite losing weight but if they were brought on by obesity then losing weight should resolve them. My husband for instance has always been very fit and he still has high BP and ironically doesn’t even like salt. It’s weird but there is nothing he can do to get off the meds. And now for me post surgery my triglycerides are creeping up, but this runs in my family even in those with a healthy weight so I’m guessing it was going to happen regardless of my weight or surgery. So I guess the short answer is yes some of your issues should resolve but not necessarily all of them.

    Steamed or roasted veggies like peppers and carrots could work until you can do raw. Or just eat it with a spoon. That’s what I did. Lol

    I cut up an avocado and put the hummus on the slices. Makes a great lunch.

    Stop loosing WAY too early

    Thats called the 3rd week stall... happens to EVERYBODY. sometimes it last a week. Sometimes it last several weeks where you wont loose much or any weight. and this will happen several times throughout your first year. your body is adjusting to the new calories

    a 5-6 lb gain in two weeks is almost too much to be due to a decrease in exercise or increase in food - so I suspect at last some of that is either water or full intestines. If so, at least a couple of lbs of that should drop off within a couple of days. As for the rest - if you're no longer logging your food intake, I'd start with that to see what and how much you're taking in. I find that if I take in more than 1700 calories for more than a day or two, my weight starts heading up (and that number is going to be different for everyone depending on age, gender, activity level, etc...). I'm OK with calorie counting, but some people hate doing that. If you're one who doesn't like it, then I'd go back to eating like you were a few months after surgery (as in NOT all the way back to protein shakes and an obscenely low number of calories - but the whole spiel of eating protein first, then nonstarchy vegetables. And then, if you're still hungry, maybe a small serving of fruit or whole-grain carb). losing weight can be a huge struggle once you're a few years out, but people do it...
