    MYO Protein Shake

I've used 3 since before surgery. I still love and use the same ones after. My tastes never changed. I think cuz I was already very keto adapted and most are not until after surgery. 1. Premier Protein (RTD) Drinks - 11fl oz = 30g protein (Choco, Vanilla, Bananas & Cream) 2. Isopure Powder - 1scoop = 25g protein (Unflavored, Choco, Vanilla, Bananas & Cream) 3. Synthrax Nectar Lemon Iced Tea Powder - 1scoop = 25g protein (Iced Tea)--the Fuzzy Navel is also delish but I'm out of it now. Also the grapefruit is excellent!

    My Stomach Aches When Empty

Yes - 7 months out now and it’s lessened. I can still get it when I wake up. String cheese before bed helps though.

Hi all thanks for the replies. I spoke to my doctor and like Jess said it's acid. He put me on a tablet (not a PPI I can't remember the name I'm sorry) and now it's fine.

    No Energy, Pre Op Diet

Thank you so much AshAsh1. That is a great way to look at this. I'm on day 13 right now and it is almost over. I honestly believe what you said. After surgery the liquid diet is going to be pretty normal still. The only difference is I will be able to add creamy liquids. That will be a nice reprieve and a step up. Hard to say but giving myself something to look forward to like creamy liquids, really changes my perspective on things. I guess we are starting from the bottom moving up. I much rather have the head hunger and crying now than have those urges after the surgery when I'd be at more of a risk. Thank you for this pick-me-up. It was exactly what I needed! Plus if we can make it through this we can pretty much make it through most anything.

    Second thoughts

It is normal to have second thoughts, but once you have had surgery you will wish you had done it sooner. I have told a lot of people because I don't care what they think and I haven't had any negative feedback, even had friends walk pass me not recognizing me, I find it funny. The only second thoughts I had was when I woke from surgery and thought what have I done but that was the time. I don't regret having it at all.

    Some new found courage

Good for you on wanting to go back to school. Electricity would be companionable with an IT background. I have an idea though, and at first it may sound a little weird. Sewing machine repairmen are in high demand - most all machines are computer controlled now. Check into the training. You could set your own hours practically. Just cleaning a sewing machines costs me $75 and I know it takes less than an hour to do and I have to wait 3 damn weeks to get it back because there are so few places to take the machine. I am serious. (But you are not too old for IT, I was in IT as a woman at age 42 as my second career and retired just 3 years ago at age 60, so don't sell yourself short.)

    Bad breath

Thank you. I have heard that ketosis cause bad breath. I didn’t think I would be losing any weight so soon. I am not going to weigh myself until Monday, 1 week out.

    Stalling for over a month???

Hi guys. So I'm getting really frustrated with my weight. I know stalls are completely normal, and I've dealt with a few before this one. I was 4 months post sleeve on the 11th. My weight has moved up and down the same 2lbs since the end of march. I've upped my water intake, increased exercise, and I'm hitting my protein goals and nothing is budging! I've had stalls that were like 1-2 weeks but nothing like this. And all my nutritionist says is to make sure to hit protein and water goals and I'll be fine. Apparently not [emoji36] they also don't give us a calorie range so I don't know if I'm not eating enough. I feel like I am? I'm around 800-1000 calories depending on the day. Sorry, I just needed a place to rant. It sucks putting in so much work and not seeing any changes! Especially because it had been going well before.
