Morning Lower abdomen burning, Diarrhea and nausea
Really?! I will watch dairy and see what happens. So odd that it’s delayed to the next morning. I do eat string cheese so I will cut that out and see if it helps. thank you!!!!

Morning Lower abdomen burning, Diarrhea and nausea
I’m 8 months post-op. My doc says it might be acid reflux but I had RNY which seems so odd to me. I haven’t noticed a pattern in foodS. Based on the suggestions of watching dairy I will try that though!

Morning Lower abdomen burning, Diarrhea and nausea
Hello, My doctor hasn’t been any help. I wake up at least 3x a week with burning in my lower abdomen, nausea (drooling), and diarrhea. It only happens in the mornings and comes in waves. Anyone else experience this and found the problem? Thank you!

PNW Kaiser
Hi Crigney21! I'm also going through the process with Kaiser in Portland. I am currently on step 4. Once my PCP approved me I received an email from the Bariatric department that said I was approved for the program. So far, through step 3, it seems as though unless there is an issue with my labs, the doctor doesn't feel I'm ready, etc. then I am going to have it. Let me know if you want to chat more! I know I was fishing so hard to find someone else who was going through it at Kaiser in Portland because each Kaiser is so different.

Restuarants
Try to take the time to really enjoy conversations with loved ones. When my family gets together and goes out for dinner it’s usually just something for us to do while we visit. Once I have the surgery I can focus more on WHY I’m there. [emoji5][emoji5]

Band or Sleeve?
Kaiser in Oregon will only do RNY bypass not the sleeve or band.

Taking NSAIDs Post-Op
Thanks for all the responses! I am planning on talking to my doctor about this too. I'm in the early pre-op stages where I'm taking a class starting next week that won't provide the space for surgery specific questions. My orientation isn't until week 6 of that, so it's going to be awhile until I am able to. Good to hear Tylenol may be an option! That helps bring some temporary relief until I can get a firm answer from the doc!

KPNW Sunnyside RNY Process
Hey all! I know this is an older thread but I would love to connect to others who are in Kaiser NW program. I start my healthy weight class on 5/7 (online). Anyone in this thread still active on here? Thanks!

Taking NSAIDs Post-Op
I'm pre-op. I take a lot of Advil and Tylenol for reoccurring headaches and I'm worried after reading this can cause complications after surgery. The doctor has never been able to pinpoint my headaches, between sinus inflammation, high BP, etc. but hopefully headaches decrease with weight loss. Do any folks post-op have experience with taking NSAIDs regularly post-op? Thanks!
