It’s been a while since I’ve posted on this app. I just want to say to everyone post wls, you are successful. Take this journey and make it your own. Be selfish. Put yourself and your health first. Hold yourself accountable and trust the process. Surgery doesn’t make the emotional eating goes away. It doesn’t make it bad to eat those things that aren’t healthy. I fell into that trap of thinking I was exempt and could slide by. But I got myself together and I began to focus on healthy living. I hope this picture inspires you to go forth and become a more healthier you. Take advantage of this new lease on life. Envision how you want your journey to be and make it happen. When i first started in april i had a few doubts. i was on the borderline of being qualified. i kept up wth most of your posts behind the scenes, i did not want to get easily discouraged, all those on this journey i wish you luck, and hang in there!!
I'm not a DS patient, but I experienced the same thing when I was in Ketosis. I could smell the breath of everyone around me. LOL. It was horrible. Once I started eating more carbs, it dissipated. Good luck!

Haven't read comments but what are you having to cheat. What stopped me from cheating is the fear of having a leak. You think what you ate went down fine but you have no idea if your causing damade till it's too late. Also what you can have depends from plan to plan so you should ask your team or check your paper work for what it says you can have on your next stage. It won't be long till you can eat normal food so hang in there. Sent from my Vivo 5R using BariatricPal mobile app

This is probably too late, but I believe my doctor writes a script for the vitamins. (Not sure yet as I'm pre-op.) I know that before I leave the hospital the hospital pharmacist pays a visit, sends me home with my first supply of vitamins, and then I can either pick them up at the hospital pharmacy thereafter, or have them send the prescription to my regular pharmacy. Of course, I don't know what the co-pays are, and that would depend on insurance. But perhaps that's an option for you?
