  5. I had gastric bypass in October 2017. I have since lost 78 pounds and 10 inches in my waist. I have fortunately not had any major issues and have no regrets. The usual issues such as contstipation and gas but nothing else. I have gotten my life back, I have stopped taking all my medicines(16 a day and now none) I no longer have chronic back pain and can tie my own shoes. Lol I till have 40 lbs to lose and excited to get there. By summer I should be at goal.

  7. Use smooth move tea, works great. Drink a cup before bedtime and you will have a bowel movement in about eight hours
  8. I use tea with senna in it. There is one called smooth move tea. Works awesome
  9. I understood that potatoes and cream of wheat have large amounts of carbs. Am I wrong?

  11. Maybe I didn't ask the question correctly. Should I go by the carbs on the label? Or do I subtract the fiber from the carbs to get net carbs?

  13. I'm confused about carbs. Should I be looking at carb counts on labels or should I be looking at net carbs? Meaning subtracting fiber from carbs.
  14. It is also caused by eating too fast and not chewing enough. I'm 2 months post op and learned the hard way. I threw up for 30 minutes and felt bad for three hours. I am very careful to eat very slow and small bites and chew the heck out of every bite.
  15. I'm only 8 weeks post op and there are so many things that I have noticed like, the ability and desire to use the stairs instead of the elevator. I got down on the floor and played with my granddaughters for the first time last weekend. I have to use a belt again to keep my pants on. I love to take selfies in front of the mirror and compare it to where I started. I weigh every morning because it motivates me.i get excited when I get out of bed because I get to weigh. I too can use a booth at a restaurant now instead of a table. So many things are much easier to d now.i can't wait to see what else will improve as the weight comes off.

  23. I also had my doubts, but I can tell you that 7 weeks ago I had an RNY and I am so happy I did it. I did for myself and my family. I want to see my granddaughters graduate. I want to spend another 35 years with my wife. I have a lot of amazing things left to do. It is your decision alone. Just ask yourself why you want to do it. Your health will improve dramatically, your energy level will be through the roof. It's about a lot of things not just physical appearance. I wish you good luck in making your decision.

  27. I have neuropathy and drop foot in my left foot , but they are the result of nerves being injured in back surgery according to my neurosurgeon.
  28. I started my journey on oct 16th at exactly 331 same as you. Today I am 290. While I have lost some of the stomach it is more noticeable in extremities and my rear. The stomach will be the last to lose I think. Sounds like you are doing great. Keep it up.
