My doctor told me not to stop it would be too my secretion if I stopped so he recommended that I continue but slow down and we would work on quitting after surgery

    Update: week 1 since surgery

Hii yes, my father came around. We don't really speak about it but he's helped me out by going shopping for me when I needed something. I think it's best to not bring it up though.

    No Post Op Care

Congrats on getting clean! And your new family! Life has handed you a lot, and I'm proud of you for trying to get things straightened out. Usually a bypass is a one-and-done type procedure. A skilled surgeon can evaluate you to see if there is any "tweaking" that can be done, but it's better for you to focus on non-surgical options. Your stomach is still small, and your bypass is still in place. Those will continue being helpful (probably why you didn't gain ALL the weight back and more!). But at this point, it's time to get back to basics. Protein, vitamins, water, nonstarchy veggies, limited fruit and starchy veggies. No sugar or white flour. Weight loss won't be as easy as it was the first year after surgery, but it IS possible! Good luck!

    July 6th surgery

I'm having my surgery the same day as you good luck! I found the flintstones chewable multivitamins, the B12, and the Calcium Citrate at Walmart for pretty cheap. I'm sure others are more informed than me though

    Friends not so friendly?

It can be tough especially because we don't see ourselves as skinny for a long time if ever. I just giggle and say thanks when people say I'm a skinny b***h...but sometimes it makes me a little blue especially when I feel there is anger behind the comment. Not much you can do just remember it's their issue. Honestly losing weight has brought up some issues with family members who are annoyed with me losing weight but I just remember I don't have to please them....this is my life and they have the power to make their own decisions.

    Preop weight loss

My surgeon didn't give me a requirement, but since my insurance required a six month pre-op diet program, I decided to lose as much as possible before surgery day. I lost 99 pounds during those six months (from 397 to 298), changed my relationship with food, and set myself up for success post op (I've lost an additional 105 pounds since the surgery day). I followed a keto way of eating during those six months, and I have done the same thing post-op (including during the post-op food stages). I don't eat more than 20 carbs per day.

Thank you. I am the same way, men are looking at me n I look down because I still feel a lil insecure about myself. But I am learning to walk head high. I have been told I am beautiful more in this last couple of months than I have in my life. It feels good. I'm embracing my new self, physically and mentally. My soon to be ex really is toxic n I see now how toxic he was in my life. But thank god for this revelation.

I'm glad you are getting out of this crappy marriage. The text message made the end a lot faster so I would be grateful for it. It seems like you were willing to go on with the emotional abuse for a long time. If you look good and don't have any kids, men are all on you. You will have a new man before you know it. If you want one.
