Need Lap Band Buddy / Mentor need advice please

Hello fellow bandsters! I was banded in Sept 08 and have lost a total of 62 lbs. Not as much as I would have liked but it is coming off slow. Anyway my problem is I feel like I should have a fill but right now I have to have a couple sips of liquid to get the first few bites of my meals down. I have told my doctor and he said it was ok to have a few sips of drink? I feel like this is cheating though? Any advice? I do have a hard time with will power. I own a bakery so I am constantly working around cakes, pies, cookies and fudge!:)
