New NSV :)

Recommended Posts

It's been quite warm here for a few days, so for the past 3 days I've worn my comfy long flowing summer skirts. I've always avoided wearing skirts such as these, because without stockings, my thighs rubbed together and chafed something horrible - often to the point of bleeding.

Well, for the past three days I've been the most comfy girl in the world LOL. My thighs haven't touched even once. I'm going to go out and get a couple more of these lil gems because they're just soooooooo easy to wear in the summer and now I can hehe.

You go girl! That is a HUGE NSV. I am very proud for you. My advise is to keep a list of all your NSV as you go along for it helps to look back at all these great little miracles when you are at a plateau in your wt loss (like I am right now).

Have a great day and ENJOY the new freedom of skirts with no stockings!

Gosh, I just love those long, flowing skirts and because I live in Miami, FL, the weather is always appropriate to wear them, but too hot for pantyhose. I too have the chaffing and bleeding, really painful and awful. Congrats to you, enjoy those skirts and feel as sexy as I am sure you are in them. Any chance of a couple of pics with you wearing one of those lovely skirts? Just thought I'd ask, I love seeing the pictures, they are sooooo inspirational to me.

We used to joke about "fat rash". I remember hot summer weather walking home from school, I used to suffer terribly, havent done in recent years because I wouldnt wear a skirt if I was going to be walking around outside in the heat.

But I used to get it badly when I was a measly 80kg (I'm 5ft 10) - that's what I mean about my goal weight needing to be at the low end of my healthy weight range, down in the 60's. And wearing a tight denim skirt in the hot weather?Ouch!

Those victories are just coming thick and fast for you now arent they? And everytime I look at your stats, your weight is lower. Way to go!

WTG! I always wear shorts under my skirts & dresses just because of the chafing. I cannot wait for the day I can post this NSV myself! Awesome!

That's right up there with the aggrivation of your shorts riding up one leg. Never figured out why they only ride up on one side, any way, that was my nsv this summer, no more shorts riding up my legs, walking a foot, then pulling it out, come on ladies you've been there I know, LOL.

roflmao! yes I've been there. Its sooooooo not a good look isnt it?

All I can say is thank GOODNESS for the last 3 or 4 years I've been really heavy fashion here has been mainly 3/4 length pants. Shorts havent been a big thing. I really havent worn them for a couple of years, not because I"m too embarrassed to but because they're just not around much in the shops.

Question for anyone, how did you get your mind right before surgery? Like as far as eating better foods and just doing better in general? I'm having a really hard time with this. Any help is appreciated 🙏❤️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
