I thought this day would never come

So I have a date!!! I am so excited! Today has been a mixture of different emotions.. My husband is stationed at Fort Hood and the memorial service was today.. We went... it was so so so sad. Our leaders have great writers for all their speeches but today was so touching. It might have been because this is our home and our friends. After the service I walked home (post was a mad house and driving wasn't an option) I got the phone call... December 23!!! I am so excited. After something so tragic i felt guilty being happy on this day. We have amazing surgeons on post and it's not like going to a normal gastric surgeon.. we are filler surgeries.. when ever they have time they fit us in... and it's a LONG wait usually I have been very fortunate to not have to wait very long and my time has been exceptionally short. So to get the call this soon has been phenominal. My preop diet starts on the 15th of December and I hope this will be a very MERRY CHRISTMAS.

I am so sorry for all of the tragedy that surrounds your home right now, but don't feel guilty for being happy! A positive experience is still a good thing, even when there is a whole lot of bad happening otherwise.

Congratulations on getting your date!

HEY!!! they are not taking anymore because three of the surgeons are deploying.. So they still need to train the new doctors to do the procedure.. I am very fortunate that I did get that call.. Take Care!!! keep in touch about your surgery!! let me know if tricare aproves you to go off post for it!

Hey,
