Sorry Jacqui - Can't get it to work, can you redo yours with the instructions?

I'm down 16.2 since starting the pre-op 2 weeks ago. ;-)

I had my weekly weigh-in yesterday and lost 4lbs last week. I am at 415 currently & started at 489 on Apr 27, 2009. Hoping to hit 399 before Aug 20 (surgery date)!!!

Hi Guys,

Mine is my starting weight taken yesterday, 5th August 2009 - 109.2kg/240.2lbs

I started my pre-op diet yesterday; they say the hardest days are the first three. If this is true then I am half way through the hard part and have only had tears once.

I can do it!

Abby, I'm actually setting my goal for 165 and we'll see when I get there!! I'm 5'8 and I can't imagine being lower than that....probably haven't been there since the 8th grade, but we'll see!! RACE IS ON! ;-)

Jenny, yeah you're an inch taller than me and I suspect I'll be looking rather thin at 180, so I bet you'll be one hot woman at 165! Ha ha, actually, I just can't wait until I feel healthy again and fit into normal size clothes. Everything beyond that is just icing on the cake!

Ha ha Former, you crack me up! 265?! Are you kidding me? The only way I can catch up to that is if I exercise. Exercise is like my kryptonite, lol. Grrr

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Anyone had the TORe procedure? How did it go? How much weight did you loose?

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Your so close now! It's gonna be great :) Wishing you a speedy recovery and looking forward to seeing how it goes!

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
