Well I'm finally off of my two month long plateau and firmly into One-derland. It's been a good weight loss week with lots of yard work, Tai Chi, and gym workouts.

Last week 196

This morning 193.5

Kristen,

I'm so sorry! I know you are completely, totally SICK of that number!!!!

I know you're looking at everything but have you looked at how much sodium you're getting? Just a thought. I've been dying of thirst and couldn't get enough Water, even when I'd manage to drink nearly 100 oz! I just started buying reduced sodium options and quit putting salt in my food. Hard cause I love it so. I'm not thirsty anymore. Oh the normal stuff but not the can't-get-enough-water stuff. I also think it's why I lost weight this week. Just a thought.

Hang in there. I'm thinking of you!

I will check and see what my sodium levels are. I usually don't add any salt, but I could be getting more than I think in what I am eating.

Thanks for the support!

krtork - Also, look at the Splenda and other artificial sweetners. I have learned to use them sparingly because they will make me retain Fluid. I sure to miss my Lipton Citrus Teas.

I didn't make it out here last week because we were out of town. I have been sick and not really wanting to eat much so I am down. 210 was my bandiversay goal for this week and I made it. If I make the rest of them, I will get to onederland just in time.

I had been running every day training for a marathon in December but I started having extremely bad heel pain and have found that I have heel spurs. My doctor says do anything I want as long as it doesn't hurt. Anything more than a brisk walk is still hurting. I would love to hear if anyone has any suggestions.

Good job! Sorry you've been sick tho. Nice for the WL but sucks otherwise!

I have a HUGE spur on the back of my left heal and a smaller one on the back of my right. Sometimes my feet will "freeze up" on me and I can hardly walk! I know your pain!

My foot doc has me stretching the tendon. Slowly pulling the toes up to the leg, hold, relax, do it again. I'll do that a lot of I'm sitting for awhile. If I don't, that's when the "freezing up" occurs and my foot doesn't want to work right.

And in all honesty, you're going to have to send some money on good, comfortable shoes. I love my flip flops but if I wear them too much, my feet start to hurt more. I have casual sandals that I wear a lot, they're Merrills and are good shoes. Another brand would be Tevia. There are some other good brands out there but they're the ones I can think of right now.

I'm hoping to avoid surgery but may have to break down at some point. One thing my doc said was do NOT get a Cortisone shot in the heal. There are new findings that the Achilles blows out after a cortisone shot. You don't want to have that happen on top of what's already going on.

Best wishes to you and keep things moving if you can!

Are you taking any rest days with your running?

If you haven't done so already, I would get your feet/stride analyzed at a running store. They can suggest a good shoe and insert if needed.

You can also do some Water running, that would take the pressure off of the heel. Don't know if you have access to a pool or not, but it could help. You would be able to keep up your aerobic fitness that way.

Good luck, hope you feel better soon!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
