Gastric Band Institute in Chattanooga?

I am in the central part of Kentucky and have been researching places I can go to have this surgery. First off, I am terrified of dying during surgery. It is my biggest fear about this entire thing. I ran across the Gastric Band Institute in Chattanooga, TN online and like the fact that bariatric surgeries are all that they perform. My first question is: Has anyone heard of them or have and feedback regarding this particular place (haven't been to TN forum to see..)? My second concern is: I've seen people post their doctors as close as Lexington -- as well as in florence, Georgetown and Louisville... I am scared I will choose a doctor who isn't as experienced as I would like (Ok ok, I'm scared that a LOCAL doctor wont be as experienced -- for whatever reason). I just want to eliminate as much possibility of something going wrong as I can.
I like the idea of making an hour trip to Lexington/Central Baptist -- or even to Louisville over the idea of a several hour drive down to TN when I need follow-ups -- however, I will not exchange a trustworthy experience over a car ride.
I would really appreciate some feedback -- Are statistics made available for each doctor? Like, can I make a phone call and ask out of such-and-such number of patients, you've lost this many under anesthesia, etc.?
I know I sound like a paranoid freak but I would seriously almost rather jump out of a plane. I shake at the idea of this. I am 100% confident that I want this surgery though -- and I know that it will completely worth it -- once I find the right damned direction to go in! :tongue2:
