Yes!!! This is my first online "friend" experience really. I do have a myspace and Facebook, but I only use it to keep tabs on my 15 yr old daughter. I haven't logged on in a while.

Looks like we want to loose about the same amount of weight! Now that I am approved and have everything scheduled I'm getting scared! What if it doesn't work?! I know I am being silly, but after being overweight for over 20 yrs, and never being able to keep it off for more than a few months, it is hard to believe this may work!

Good luck to all of us!!

right click on the banner that you want. then go to your profile page, and where your "signature" is, right click it again in the space you want it to appear . It will give you a preview. If you like how it looks, where it is, save it.

I know i did this a few times before i got it where i wanted it.

Hello everyone, I'm new to this site and very happy to see that there is a forum dedicated to July surgeries. I'm scheduled for surgery on July 7th (my mom's birthday too so it's already a great day). I began my 2 week pre-op liquid diet on 6/23. One week down and one to go.

Hi All!

Had my pre-op with the surgeon today. He just did a quick once-over, listened to my lungs, etc. Only 6 more days! I have already received a phone call with my instructions from the hospital and I am ready to go! I can't tell you how excited I am. Oh, and btw, down 7 lbs on the pre-op diet! yay! Bring on the band!

Best of luck to everyone who is having surgery tomorrow. My surgery (scheduled for tomorrow, 7/7) was cancelled and tentatively rescheduled for Thursday. :)

Thank you Bobbie! Hope all goes well with your surgery today! I will be thinking about you and all of the many other bandsters getting their lap bands today. Good luck and hope you have a speedy recovery! PS - make sure you get something for nausea from your Doctor...

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
