Yes!!! This is my first online "friend" experience really. I do have a myspace and facebook, but I only use it to keep tabs on my 15 yr old daughter. I haven't logged on in a while.

Looks like we want to loose about the same amount of weight! Now that I am approved and have everything scheduled I'm getting scared! What if it doesn't work?! I know I am being silly, but after being overweight for over 20 yrs, and never being able to keep it off for more than a few months, it is hard to believe this may work!

Good luck to all of us!!

How do I get the sparkly freedom fighter banner down below?

It is great to feel we are not going through this alone. I am proud of all of you and myself for taking this huge step to improving our health! Here's to be skinny!

right click on the banner that you want. then go to your profile page, and where your "signature" is, right click it again in the space you want it to appear . It will give you a preview. If you like how it looks, where it is, save it.

I know i did this a few times before i got it where i wanted it.

Here's to be HEALTHY!

Hello everyone, I'm new to this site and very happy to see that there is a forum dedicated to July surgeries. I'm scheduled for surgery on July 7th (my mom's birthday too so it's already a great day). I began my 2 week pre-op liquid diet on 6/23. One week down and one to go.

Hi All!

Had my pre-op with the surgeon today. He just did a quick once-over, listened to my lungs, etc. Only 6 more days! I have already received a phone call with my instructions from the hospital and I am ready to go! I can't tell you how excited I am. Oh, and btw, down 7 lbs on the pre-op diet! yay! Bring on the band!

Thanks so much! Best of luck to you too.

Thank you Bobbie! Hope all goes well with your surgery today! I will be thinking about you and all of the many other bandsters getting their lap bands today. Good luck and hope you have a speedy recovery! PS - make sure you get something for nausea from your Doctor...
