Thanks for all of the pics. You all certainly had a great time, and Jenna, you are SO adorable!!!

I can see by the ingredients in the toxic tea that it really is toxic. LOL Sorry ladies, but I think I'll pass.

Take care & glad you all had such a great time!

* Phew*

I'm home and I'm exhausted.

Had a great time!

I'm so happy I had the chance to get to know all of you, Crystal , Christina, Terri, Jenna, Francesca, and Lisa thanks for being such an awesome hostess..I made it through the airport security check with my new "toy" in tow, he passed it through theX-ray machine, then passed is back through as if he was doing a doubletake, I' was sweatin' it that he'd pull it out and ask what the hell it was, Lisa I think you are going to be a huge success and make tons of money in your new business. Your personality fits perfectly with your venture,

Francesca- thanks for the company and for the rides , I feel like Ive known you for years.

Vines, you are one hell of a smart woman, AMAZING! ( she blew our minds with the guessing who we are game)

Christina- You are beautiful, lots of fun, love your laugh

Jenna- you got lots of spunk, fun times to be had wherever you go I'm sure

Terry - Good heart you have, loved the scrapbook, you have done awesome with your band looking at those before pics

Ricca - sorry we missed you but hey I understand completely :)

What a trip!

I'm finally safe and sound back in my apartment in Idaho. Man, what a long trip. I left the hotel at 9:00 this morning and finally arrived in my apartment at 6:30 pm... whew! Long trip but worth it.

Relatively short flight, but long long drive home.

I didn't get too many pix, my battery died, and I neglected to bring my chager, or a spare... What was I thinking???

Oh, and it took me 4 guesses to figure out who I was.

This first pix was taken by Jenna. It's Christina and Kare, Terri's (coyotegirl) friend. Not Kare (rhyms with bear)... Maybe next year Kare?

This pix was taken in Lisa's living room, as the second party was going on...

Look at Terri's expression! :) Oh my!

I made out like a band-it during the clothing exchange! Like a Band-it!

I'm sooo sorry everyone wasn't able to make it this year. Trish! What happened? We really missed you, and we were so sorry that you couldn't make it. We thought you'd confirmed so we were especially sorry that you couldn't make it!

Franchesa really is cute as a button, and Michelle's eyes are amazingly Blue! It's hard to believe that Jenna has a band, she looks so terrific. I know she thinks she still needs to loose, but I think she looks terrific and "NORMAL." I thought that Terri would be more bubbly, but she is really quiet. I'll bet though that by next year she will be really wild... Lisa is... well just as you would expect... the Tazmainian Devil... A whirlwind of amazing energy. I wish I had just a portion of what you have!

Oh, and I think Lisa needs to let me paint her livingroom in a beautiful terracota, with sand accents. Yup, I think she should let me do that.

It was funny when I got to the hotel I shard with Christina... I thought she was going to ask me for my ID. She was convinced that I was in imposter... that I had for some reason sent my secret daughter in my stead... But it was really me.

Vines, did you fall out of your tree? "Let you?" Did you say, "Let you?" I'll massage your feet with a body mitten and Sensura Almond Oil for hours if you painted my house! And those are the exact colors I've wanted, with Mexican serapes for curtain bolsters. I'm dying for color, but I turned our last house into a kaledescope, and it was beautiful. But now Chris is afraid of color, so next time you're here, we'll give him the boot again and paint on! I miss you already. I have Empty Nest Syndrome - come home, girls! But glad you got home safe.

Wow--does she pronounce her name the same? I haven't met another Kare yet! In fact I just recently met the 2nd Bronwyn of my life (the first my best friend from college).

Vines--goodness, you're just a babe! I pictured you as older than you are in these pics.

YES to next year. (Had to stay home w/ my 21-yr old for the one week he's home after being in Europe the past year.) I'm with you on those white walls! Tell ya what--let's get together and paint Lisa's walls! I'm way into ragging, sponging, plastic bagging and all that other texture stuff.

A coupla toxic teas and LORD KNOWS WHAT those walls would look like!!

THANKS SO MUCH FOR ALL THE PICS! Lotsa vicarious fun enjoyed here!

:)

Ya'll know I'm not a "white wall" kinda gal. Our 1st home had a textured red hallway that lead to my sunset gold living room with a dark purple hippy den, burnt pumpkin office, and a forest green guest room. When Chris saw me painting my hippy den purple with new green shag carpet he nearly fainted. But when it was done, he moved the master bedroom in there. He's afraid this neighborhood isn't ready for us. We're the riff-raff, now.

You all aresooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooomuch Fun!

And Lisa, oh what can I say about Lisa, You ROCK GIRL! I love your spirit, your energy and everything about you! You made me feel so welcome in your home. Why didn't we get a picture of you RACEING my scooter around your pool? I thought for a moment you were going to ride it into the pool! just kidding!! You should have seen her girls and guys, my scooter at full speed around her pool! and I mean FULL SPEED!!

She left "little" ol me standing in her bedroom all alone with no means for transportation. 2 of my new friends (I think Vines and Christina) had to help me outside and then sent Jenna out with her cop badge to stop that mad woman! Oh the drama Ladies!!! No not really, she took the scooter outside for me because there was a little step down that was too hard for me to do! She did speed around the pool though but I told her she could ride it and ride it she did!! WHERE WAS THE CAMERA??

Thank you ladies for a most wonderful weekend!! See you next year if not sooner.

Oh , Jenna and I are going to be neighbors!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! She is moving about 10 miles from me!!!!!!!!!!! I am so excited!!

Love ya all,

The quiet but happy one!

Wow! I was visiting my mom over the weekend and missed all the real-time postings, not to mention our off-line pity party. I am so sorry I didn't go to Vegas. It looks as if you all have become real-life friends, not just virtual ones. Thanks for posting the pictures, everyone, so the rest of us could join the vicarious bash.

Awe, trying to make me feel bad, Coyote? I wouldn't have taken the scooter if the other gals didn't have you in the chair yet. And I ride a 700 pound Harley with grace, so there's no way I was scooty was going in the pool. The whole time was fun.

Four days post surgery. I am sipping as fast as I can and getting NO WHERE near the goal of 60 - 80 grams of protein or the 64 oz of liquids. I just feel FULL. I don't know if it can still be the gas build up (I would think by now that would be gone) but it is a struggle to drink. And so far I have not had the nausea or spasms and don't want to wander into that territory by pushing too hard with liquids. I about passed out today as it was my most "strenuous" day. Went from second story to basement for shower and I was sure I was going to pass out. Looking back on my last few days I have had a total of less than 1000 calories. Am I just not getting enough nourishment in me? Once again a friday where I can't get ahold of the doc until Monday rolls back around so I am hoping maybe someone here has some experience on how to keep energy going. I do have fibromyalgia too and that may be where some added fatigue comes into play. How did you all fair with the goals the week after surgery?

2 days until I fly out to San Diego to have my Bypass Surg. in Tiajuana Mexico. Not gonna lie, the nerves are starting to surface. I don't fear the surgery itself, or the fact that I'm traveling alone, but its the aftermath that I'm stressing about the most, after this 8 week wait. I'm excited to finally be here, but I am really dreading the post surgical chapter. I know its going to be tough, real tough and I think I'm just in my head to much now that the day i here. Wish me luck, Hopefully I'm one of the lucky ones, and everything goes smoothly. Cant wait to give an exciting update,. If there is anyone else have a June bypass or even a recent one, Id love to have someone to compare war stories with. Also, anyone near San Antonio Tx? See ya soon with the future me. 💜

I'm in Houston so kind of near you and had the sleeve in Dec. Down 61 lbs. Feeling better. Was definitely worth it. I hope the everything is going well for you. Update us when you can!

I am back home after my bypass surgery in Tiajuana. I'm post op day 4. Everything went great! I guess I'm one of the lucky ones who have not encountered much pain at all, no nausea thus far and I'm having no problem keeping down broths and water. Thank you for your well wishes. I cant wait to keep up this journey and have a chance at better health and simply better quality of life. I know there will be bumps in the road ahead, and everything won't be peaches and cream, but at least I have a great start so far. 😍

I am new here today... and only two weeks out from my sleeve surgery on the 23rd. I am amazed I have kept my calories down to 467 today so far... that leaves me almost 750 left for dinner and maybe a snack. This is going to be tough for two weeks... but I have to believe I can do it!

Hey everyone. I'm new here so I thought I should introduce myself. I am 53y/o and am scheduled for Gastric Bypass on June 25th, 2025. I'm located in San Antonio, Texas. I will be having my surgery in Tiajuana Mexico. I've wanted this for years, but I always had insurance where bariatric procedures were excluded. Finally I am able to afford to pay out of pocket.  I can't wait to get started, and I hope I'm prepared for the initial period of "hell". I know what I have signed up for, but I'm sure the good to come will out way the temporary period of discomfort and feelings of regret. I'd love to find people to talk to who have been through the same procedure or experience before. So I look forward to meeting you all. Hope you have a great week!

I'm so happy for you! You are about to change your life. I was so glad to get the sleeve done in Dec. I didn't have feelings of regret overall. And I'm down almost 60 lbs. I do feel a little sad at restaurants. I can barely eat half a kid's meal. I get adults meals often because kid ones don't have the same offerings at times. Then I feel obligated to eat on that until it's gone and that can be days. So the restaurant thing isn't great for me. All the rest is fine by me! I love feeling full with very little. I do wish I could drink when eating. And will sip at the end. Just a strong habit to stop. But I'm working on it! You will do fine! Just keep focused on your desire to be different. Not better or worse. But different. I am happy both ways but my low back doesn't like me that heavy. So I listened (also my feet!). LOL! Update us on your journey! I'm not far from you. I'm in Houston. Good luck and I hope it all goes smoothly! Would love to see pics of the town you go to for this. I've never been there. Neat you will be traveling for this! Enjoy the journey. Take it one day at a time. Sometimes a few hours at a time. Follow all recommendations as best you can. 💗

      2. Doughgurl

Thank you so much for your well wishes. I am hoping that everything goes easy for me as well. We don't eat out much as it is, so it wont be too bad in that department. Thankfully. Also, I hear you regarding your back and feet!! I'd like to add knees to the list. Killing me as we speak! I'm only 5' so the weight has to go. Too short to carry all this weight. Menopause really did a doosey on me. (😶lol) My daughter also lives in Houston. with her Husband and my 5 grand-littles. I grew up in Beaumont, so I know Houston well, I will be sure to keep in touch and update you on my journey. I may need some advice in the future, or just motivation. Thank You so much for reaching out, I was hoping to connect with someone in the community. I really appreciate it. 💜
