Well the competitive side of me helped keep me in check. Thanks for the Fall challenge.

I started at 198 and wanted to be 179.9

I made it to 183. Down 16 pounds in total. Not exactly where I wanted to be - but sh*#@!!!! Close enough for me. I'm in a 12-14 and that was on target.

Do we have a holiday / winter challenge going yet???? I really like having a place to check in with.

Good luck to you all my fellow bandsters.

Ok, going to go ahead and post tonight, since this is the end of this particular challenge. Here are my stats I am closing with: Started this challenge at 255 and I am ending it at 225, a loss of 30 pounds!! I lost 42 inches all over my body!!! My pics are below. BMI went from 48.2 to 42.5.

PS, If there is anybody that can help me get this photos side by side I would appreciate it. This was the best that I could do. Thanks!

Wow, Keri! What a difference! You look great!

My goal was to lose 20 lbs. I started at 262 and ended at 244, for 18 lbs. Considering I didn't even have my first fill til halfway through the challenge and my band was wide open, I think 18 lbs was pretty good. The competitive person in me is a tiny bit disappointed, but in all practicality, 18 lbs in 10 weeks is great.

Count me in for a challenge over the holidays! I really need the accountability to not overindulge in holiday goodies. Plus I'm going on a cruise in 2 weeks!

Thanks Molly, I can see a little difference in my neck and that is about it on those pics. 18 pounds is terrific, btw!! Keep up the great work. That cruise will be here before you know it! :-)

Well I guess I can be happy I made my goal of 15 pounds. I maintained this week...go figure.

So for this fall I started @ 271 and ended 254.8 = down 16.2

Hope everyone is happy with the journey this fall and I look forward to one to get me through the holidays??? It might be the only way I don't gain any weight...

Corinne, thanks for setting up the Fall Weight Loss Challenge! It has really helped keep me on track in a way that a weigh in at Weight Watchers never managed to do.

I had a bad week, but I'm really happy with my progress overall. Here's my stats:

Starting Weight: 255.5

9/19 weigh in: 252

9/26 weigh in: 250

10/3 weigh in: 250

10/10 weigh in: 246.5

10/17 weigh in: 243

10/24 weigh in: 242.5

10/31 weigh in: 239.5

11/7 weigh in: 235

11/14 weight in: 236.5

That's a total of 19 pounds down for the challenge. My goal was 25 but I don't care a bit! Great job everyone! :)

Okay, I'm weighing in the morning, promise...Aunt Flo was a day late and I think the worst of over. I should be back down to 191 something in the morning. Hope so. I'm certain I didn't hit my 188 goal though. Ah well. I'm done with Challenges for a bit. I'm sure there will be a Spring one after the holidays so I'll join in there. Happy losing all you "After Fall Challenge" people! I need a break, but! I'll still be losing. I have Richard Simmons under my belt pretty good now and I can move my food and choose my healthy Snacks much better. It will work...I'm just a turtle!

Things I have learned this challenge: don't skip Breakfast and drink coffee all morning. Eat lunch before noon...don't wait until 2pm. Eat several healthy Snacks in the afternoon, at least every 2 hours after lunch: a yogurt, 1/2 banana w/ Peanut Butter, an apple, or some sliced deli turkey...it curbs my appetite at dinner and I don't scarf as much as possible. Eat a small dinner by 7pm and nothing else after. 'Cept coffee if I want, which I usually do. Search for 1200 calories as best I can, which is actually hard when I eat as listed above. WOW!

I have been busy banding my brain and it's helping. I don't need a fill. My restriction is great...not too little, not too much. I need to choose better. I know I have lost a few more inches all over and I have been posting my NSV's too. All good stuff.

I'll get a pic posted but I really should just post the old one, ya know? Not much of a difference to see with just a 7 or so pound loss. I'm not discouraged. I'll keep plugging along.

So, who lost the most? Corinne? Have you tabulated? I posted a Review a few pages back if that helps. Thanks for starting the Challenge. It's been a good one!

Congrats everyone! I can't wait to start seeing more Afters. Looking good everyone!!!! Yay us!!

Sorry I missed the final post, I've been in rural Mexico for the past 10 days. I just got home last night and I weighed this morning. I didn't get as much exercise as I'd planned during my trip, but with the tighter restriction that I have, I wasn't able to eat much.

Starting challenge weight 253 ending weight 231 . Don't know what my final weight would have been on the 14th since I didn't have access to a scale.

Four days post surgery. I am sipping as fast as I can and getting NO WHERE near the goal of 60 - 80 grams of protein or the 64 oz of liquids. I just feel FULL. I don't know if it can still be the gas build up (I would think by now that would be gone) but it is a struggle to drink. And so far I have not had the nausea or spasms and don't want to wander into that territory by pushing too hard with liquids. I about passed out today as it was my most "strenuous" day. Went from second story to basement for shower and I was sure I was going to pass out. Looking back on my last few days I have had a total of less than 1000 calories. Am I just not getting enough nourishment in me? Once again a friday where I can't get ahold of the doc until Monday rolls back around so I am hoping maybe someone here has some experience on how to keep energy going. I do have fibromyalgia too and that may be where some added fatigue comes into play. How did you all fair with the goals the week after surgery?

2 days until I fly out to San Diego to have my Bypass Surg. in Tiajuana Mexico. Not gonna lie, the nerves are starting to surface. I don't fear the surgery itself, or the fact that I'm traveling alone, but its the aftermath that I'm stressing about the most, after this 8 week wait. I'm excited to finally be here, but I am really dreading the post surgical chapter. I know its going to be tough, real tough and I think I'm just in my head to much now that the day i here. Wish me luck, Hopefully I'm one of the lucky ones, and everything goes smoothly. Cant wait to give an exciting update,. If there is anyone else have a June bypass or even a recent one, Id love to have someone to compare war stories with. Also, anyone near San Antonio Tx? See ya soon with the future me. 💜

I'm in Houston so kind of near you and had the sleeve in Dec. Down 61 lbs. Feeling better. Was definitely worth it. I hope the everything is going well for you. Update us when you can!

I am back home after my bypass surgery in Tiajuana. I'm post op day 4. Everything went great! I guess I'm one of the lucky ones who have not encountered much pain at all, no nausea thus far and I'm having no problem keeping down broths and water. Thank you for your well wishes. I cant wait to keep up this journey and have a chance at better health and simply better quality of life. I know there will be bumps in the road ahead, and everything won't be peaches and cream, but at least I have a great start so far. 😍

I am new here today... and only two weeks out from my sleeve surgery on the 23rd. I am amazed I have kept my calories down to 467 today so far... that leaves me almost 750 left for dinner and maybe a snack. This is going to be tough for two weeks... but I have to believe I can do it!

Hey everyone. I'm new here so I thought I should introduce myself. I am 53y/o and am scheduled for Gastric Bypass on June 25th, 2025. I'm located in San Antonio, Texas. I will be having my surgery in Tiajuana Mexico. I've wanted this for years, but I always had insurance where bariatric procedures were excluded. Finally I am able to afford to pay out of pocket.  I can't wait to get started, and I hope I'm prepared for the initial period of "hell". I know what I have signed up for, but I'm sure the good to come will out way the temporary period of discomfort and feelings of regret. I'd love to find people to talk to who have been through the same procedure or experience before. So I look forward to meeting you all. Hope you have a great week!

I'm so happy for you! You are about to change your life. I was so glad to get the sleeve done in Dec. I didn't have feelings of regret overall. And I'm down almost 60 lbs. I do feel a little sad at restaurants. I can barely eat half a kid's meal. I get adults meals often because kid ones don't have the same offerings at times. Then I feel obligated to eat on that until it's gone and that can be days. So the restaurant thing isn't great for me. All the rest is fine by me! I love feeling full with very little. I do wish I could drink when eating. And will sip at the end. Just a strong habit to stop. But I'm working on it! You will do fine! Just keep focused on your desire to be different. Not better or worse. But different. I am happy both ways but my low back doesn't like me that heavy. So I listened (also my feet!). LOL! Update us on your journey! I'm not far from you. I'm in Houston. Good luck and I hope it all goes smoothly! Would love to see pics of the town you go to for this. I've never been there. Neat you will be traveling for this! Enjoy the journey. Take it one day at a time. Sometimes a few hours at a time. Follow all recommendations as best you can. 💗

Thank you so much for your well wishes. I am hoping that everything goes easy for me as well. We don't eat out much as it is, so it wont be too bad in that department. Thankfully. Also, I hear you regarding your back and feet!! I'd like to add knees to the list. Killing me as we speak! I'm only 5' so the weight has to go. Too short to carry all this weight. Menopause really did a doosey on me. (😶lol) My daughter also lives in Houston. with her Husband and my 5 grand-littles. I grew up in Beaumont, so I know Houston well, I will be sure to keep in touch and update you on my journey. I may need some advice in the future, or just motivation. Thank You so much for reaching out, I was hoping to connect with someone in the community. I really appreciate it. 💜
