Banded on the 20th - Bulge??

Hi there - I was banded on the 20th and since then have gotten a buldge that kind of comes and goes.. sometimes larger and sometimes smaller - but right above my navel to the right (opposite of port side).
You can actually see the buldge in the mirror, it looks like a little alien baby trying to get out.
Anyway, I had my first post-op with the Doc yesterday and of course, it was not buldging out, but I mentioned it to him. He said "well, it sounds like a hernia, lets take a look". So he feels around and pushes around and around and around for about 2 min, and says "its a mystery to me"...
Any ideas? Could it be gas moving around? Its a little sore there, but doesn't "hurt" per say.
