Hey I had my first fill yesterday boy that was a different type of experience  I had 2 cc's in from surgery and they gave me another 3 cc's yesterday. I am on liquids right now but I really think this is going to do the trick for me for a while. I am keeping my fingers crossed that I may be lucky.

Hey guys! I am so glad to hear that everyone is doing well. I was banded on the 4th of March and I still have not gotten my first fill. I have an appointment next week so I am hoping to get my first fill then. I will be so happy because I have no restriction and falling off the wagon every now and then. I havent gained anything matter of fact last week was a bad week for me eating wise and I lost 2 pounds! I cant understand that but I also wont make it a habit to eat like that anymore.....well keep up the good work everyone and I hope to have news of my first fill next week!

I had my first fill last week and have 3 cc in a 10 cc band. So far it is working great and keeping me content from meal to meal and the scale started moving again. My doctor's office encouraged me to wait to eat until I am hungry (rather than eating at set times) and that really seems to be working well for me. I was nervous about the fill, but there was no need to be.

Hope all the other March bandsters are doing great!!

Hello... had my first fill on Monday, 4/27. I got 4 cc's in my Realize band. Not having any restriction yet and no foods are getting stuck yet. scale not moving yet. I'm okay with it because I know very few people get good restriction on the first fill. I go for another fill on May 11th.

i had my first fill on 4/24. he gave me 4 cc's. i did the "Water cup" test and could not get it all down, and felt lots of restriction, so he took 1/2 cc out.

i do feel restriction now when i eat too fast. it's funny. i didn't think i would feel it at the base of my neck ! LOL

I had my first fill yesterday. It was weird. The doctor had a hard time finding the port...well he found the port but not the center, he kept hitting the edgse of it. I got 3 cc's in a 10 cc band. He almost didn't fill be at all because I some restriction with the 1.6 cc that were in at surgery.

Hey all you Lucky Losers!! Hope everyone is doing fine. I had my first fill yesterday.. he put in 3cc's, but i was having that sensation the liquid was sitting in my throat, so he took out .5. I felt a little nauseous for a few hours after, but I'm doing good today, on liquids--YAY... NOT!

Good Luck everyone!!:(

I had my first fill four weeks after surgery of 5cc in a 10cc band. I had small restriction for the first few days but then was back to feeling barely any restriction, so I went back for another fill a couple weeks later. The doc added 1cc but I couldn't even keep saliva down, so I went back the next day to take liquid out. He took out 1.2cc so my stomach calmed down, but then I was back to no restriction. I went back a week later for a fill and he put back 1cc (which left me at 5.8 cc's) and I was ok for a few hours and then started vomiting saliva again. Went back to the doc the next day (which was yesterday) and he took out .5 cc so now I'm 5.3 cc approximately. I can keep down liquids (coffee, tea, Water, Protein shakes) but haven't tried anything heavier. It's wierd that a tenth of a cc can make such a difference.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
