Anyone grown out of their size 16-18 clothes??

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone,

I am hoping to offer and find homes for clothes that no longer fit. I have already sold on Craigslist a HUGE amount of clothes that don't fit (size 20-22) and now I am exiting the land of Lane Bryant all together (WOO HOO).

I am looking for any spring/summer clothes in size 16-18 that are collecting dust in a closet. I will be happy to pay any shipping fee and be happy with whatever comes my way. I'm just finding that I'm going from size to size so quickly that NOTHING fits! It is a huge success to say that, but is also very frustrating trying to get dressed every morning.

I also have many clothes I've grown out of if someone is interested in them; just let me know.

Maybe somebody could start a "Lap Band Hand-Me-Down" website to help everybody out..wouldn't that be great!

I also just gave away all of my 22's and 24's (dang I wish I had thought of selling them on Craigslist!) I am looking for size 14-16 summer clothes. I am in Atlanta so if anyone has anything please let me know. Thanks!!!

I thought after losing weight, shopping would be fun. It sucks. Everything is so expensive, you hate to buy anything that will only last a month or two.

I also find that when your fat, the choices are limited so it's easier to just grab cloths. Now it takes forever because there are too many choices.

Also, why are they making skinny clothes in the ugly fat clothes patterns?

I agree! I like going to try on new sizes but I never really like the styles. It was so much easier shopping in the plus size sections because there wasnt many choices. Even though I LOVE my new size it does get a little frustrating. I used to have 65-75 pairs of pants and jeans in my closet to wear now I am down to about 10. This makes it VERY hard to find something to wear to work in the morning!! Now I am late almost everyday and picking them out at night doesn't help either.

oh well....that's just my 2 cents....

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
