AWESOME! Haven't made it yet but I will! I saw my doctor on Tuesday and we decided no fill this time. I have lost 50 lbs since my surgery date and he is happy with that. I am ok with it but I was hoping for more by now.

Those of you in Onederland are an inspiration for me!!!!

I hear you on the brain catching up! I still have to double take when I see myself walk by in a window or when I am looking at pictures, I think, "who is that lady?" I was in shopping the other day and I get self-conscious thinking that the sales people are wondering why I am looking in the "normal" people section. I wish my brain would catch up - of course I felt pretty hot in the size Large dress I bought! LOL!

i was the same thing when i went in to macy's to shop. was wondering around the normal size dept. Kept looking around expecting to be given some strange looks by people. I was able to zip up into a size 12 calvin stretch jean. granted will need to loose another 5 before comfortably fit and will walk out the door in them, but it felt great. I have gone from a 28 pant to a 12-14 now. I also now tend to buy clothes a bit tight vs before buying them a bit to big. i'm hoping it doesnt take to long to adjust to the new me and for my self confidence to go up.

Under 200 is great but the fact that I went from 3X to a medium shirt is totally amazing.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
