Hello ladies! I was banded on February 2, so I figured that was close enough

Are either of you having difficulty in getting enough liquid/protein in in a day? I was fortunate not to feel gas pains too badly, but today I've only been able to get in 12 oz of Protein shake and that's all!

I got banded here in Kuwait and for the first 10 days they have me on Clear liquids and have not mentioned Protein at all... I am suppose to see the doctor on Thursday and I think I will bring it up however my diet looks like this:

10 days clear liquid

10 days full liquids

10 days puree food

and then I go to regular food in very small portions and making sure they are chewed very well...

I have been eating ramen noodles minus the noodles, Water, tea, apple juice and popsicles...let me know how yours is going..

I did take off work until next Monday, but I am a computer programmer and sit at a desk all day.

I am still pretty sore and last night I rolled over and felt my stomach muscles pull and shrieked because it hurt so bad!

My doctor had me on 3 days of Clear Liquids (broth, tea, coffee, apple juice, popsicles, and jello), then 7 days of liquids until I see him on the 13th. I just started the liquids today and just had some really runny cream of wheat nad tolerated it pretty well.

I am too weak to clean house or even leave the house, so I am going stir crazy. I blow glass as a hobby and can't even do that....I am so bored!

I was also banded on the 3rd. I am not very sore just a lot of discomfort. Today is the first day I got my Protein in. I purchased the whey protein bullets. They are 3 oz with 50 grams of protein. That is the only way. I have a bullet mixer and this afternoon I had the Special K Protein Drink 5 grams and made a slushie. It is a nice treat. It is hard to get it all in when you are not hungry. Does any of you feel sick to your stomach? I'm having a real issue with that..

I too was banded on the 3rd. I am having a MAJOR queasiness problem. I am living on ice chips. I had 2 4oz Protein Shakes today. I switched to tylenol in hopes that my stomach would settle without taking the narcotic painkiller, but I think one of them is stuck. I have been slowly working on getting it down. Surgeon said I could take pills, but now I break them up first. I was not expecting to be this sore though i'll be honest. Very happy i did it but Wow, am i ready to start feeling better.

Hey yall! I was also band on Feb 3. I am feeling pretty good-- I am already hating liquids and I still have 11 days on liquids lol! I am still a little sore under my left breast where the biggest incision is. I am also having problems getting in my Protein. I went to GNC to see if I could find some protein bullets--but I did not see any! I would love to keep in touch with yall!! Goodluck with everything!!

I am trying to stay away from the pain killers too....I only take the Loritab before going to bed to make it through the night. I found an adult version of liquid Tylenol at the pharmacy that is a rapid release formula...it seems to be doing well through the day as long as I don't try to move around a lot.

LOL...Hang in there...my husband is visiting the U.S. and he has delegated our neighbor to watch me...we are in an apt and he can hear when my door shuts...I snuck out today to go to the grocery store because I am like you going stir crazy....anyway he caught me sneaking back in :cursing:

Try not to do too much too soon....right now I am not even attempting to obtain protein...I am on Clear Liquids for 10 days...consult your physician if you are still queasy and consider taking clear broths for a while...also be sure to crush those pills very well....gas x may help if you have gas...Keep us updated on how you feel....give yourself a week or two...I am still pretty sore also...I got banded in Kuwait...but a year from now we will look back and know it was well worth it:thumbup:

Hang in there! I am very sore under my left breast and I do not know why I do not see an incision but I am wondering what could it be...they removed a gall stone from my gall bladder but I am okay except for the soreness and the tenderness under my left breast

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
