Did you stay overnight?

Recommended Posts

I had my surgery at about 8:00 am and was home by 2 or 3:00 that afternoon. I was glad to be home. Yes, I was sore, but glad to be in my own chair and bed. I was sore for about a week but the more I walked the better I got.

Good luck to you

I had surgery at 1:30 p.m.; left hospital at 5:45 p.m. Took Loratab twice that night; liquid tylenol the next day, no pain meds since. I was driving on the 2nd day; went to group support meeting across the county by myself on day 4 post op. Was able to eat real food 11 days out. No pain, except a little where the port incision is. No restrictions on the part of my doctor.

Wow! Thanks for all the replies! It's amazing how different everyone's experience is. I think I'll ask him to let me stay over if possible, just to have a night without kids screaming and chasing each other around the house, lol. Did any of you have problems going up and down the stairs at all???

I had no problems with the stairs after surgery, but I was moving slow.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
