I don't know the doc, but I have been to the hospital a couple of times. I thought the service and level of cleanliness was far greater at Vassar Bros then St Francis. No one in the area was really doing banding when I started looking into it so I went out of the area.

I was banded on 3/3/09 by Dr. Artuso at SFH and I am very pleased both with him and the facility. He is a quiet, caring man who is very gentle and thorough. The SFH staff in his office (Pat & Dorothy) are also very nice. The same-day care at SFH was very good. My only complaint would be that I was in x-ray for what seemed like forever after my surgery (to make sure I could swallow & that the band was in place.) The aftercare is good as well (ie my monthly visits for weigh-in & fills.) They run on time & you aren't sitting in the waiting room forever. The monthly support group meetings are also good...I just wish we met more than once a month.
