You guys hang in there! This isn't a crash diet this time. This is the rest of your life. Make an eating plan to get you through this first phase and do the best you can to stick to it. Go back religiously for your fills until you get good restriction. Yes, it stinks right now, but eventually you'll get to the point where you're not eating much at all and you're not hungry! Be patient.

To keep from eating a huge amount, don't order a huge amount! BTW, unless you eat the hashbrowns, bacon, and toast...a cheese omelet is not that bad! Next time ask them to make you a 1 egg, or 2 egg omelet. Or, split it with someone. The band is a tool! You have to learn to use the tool properly! I'm not preaching, I struggle too. I am apparently having a better day than some of you and want to help pick you back up! Good luck to you!

I'm one who doesnt know if it's my fill doctor not making me tight enough, or the lapband was never for me. People keep saying that they can't eat more than a certain amount, but I can eat anything and eat full meals. I am out more than the 6 months mentioned above and the only reason Im losing is determination. Im still hungry and could eat much more. I ate a chicken sandwich from Burger King today. I tried to just eat half, but then Im still hungry.

Posts like the above make me think something is wrong with my band.

You have lost 60 POUNDS that's a miracle!!!!! Since June 2008. I bet people don't recognize you. I have lost 17 as of today and people tell me something is different. I don't like the part where you tell us that your still hungary. My regular doctor told me I would still be hungary but to stay away from SUGAR and booze and I would lose. Maybe you should have your band checked but 60 Pounds is a miracle.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
