I don't know if Jillian is gay or straight and I really don't care. It's her business. But just because Daniel says she's gay, doesn't mean she is...at least to me it doesn't. Who cares...she ROCKS! I'd love to have her body btw!

For ONCE, I was proud of Ron. I still don't like him, but I commend him for finishing the marathon and pushing through the pain. Gotta give him props for that.

I thought about voting for Ron, just so Tara or Helen win, but I just couldn't do it. Althought I don't care for Mike all that much either, he deserves to be in the finale. I'm still hoping Tara wins! She did so good in the marathon.

And I'm not even CLOSE to gay, but if I was, I would go after Jillian too. And Angelina. And Ellen Degeneres.

Er.....you had me until you mentioned "Ellen". Here's a little trivial fact: Ellen Degeneres spent her senior year at the same little po-dunk high school that I attended (not at the same time), in Atlanta, Texas.

Heck, all guys think that women who won't sleep with them -must- be gay

I know this to be true in my case. What other reason would a lady turn down my drunken proposition? GOTTA be gay....

I am not voting because I don't really care which of those 2 go against Tara. She deserves to win just for never falling below the yellow line.

I would kill to have Jillians arms too. I should break down and buy one of her DVDs

Her arms had me breaking out the weights this morning.....as for voting well its not letting me, I thought it would by this am but its not ...oh well what happens happens.......I was glad to see Ron finish a challenge. He did a really good thing pushing himself when he did.

I agree that Jillian is "hot" and I'd love to have any part of her body. I don't care if she's gay or not.

I tried voting last night and could not even get a dial tone.

I think that Tara is a shoe-in for the title, but Helen could fool me. You heard Allison tell her (Tara) that she hadn't won yet (which I know Tara was happy that she made the weight).

You are too funny, Manatee:lol:

Plain, I didn't know that Ellen was from Atlanta, Tx. I live in Omaha, just a stone throw away from you.

Where did it say she wasn't gay? It came straight from Daniel, Orange Team member this season. I am pretty sure he'd know since he was on campus with her for so long?

I'm not sure if she is or not, however, I bought her new book, "How to master you matabolism" and in it she mentions her ex boyfriend.

But, she could have changed now and like women, not sure. Either way, she looks great!

I have always despised Ron because of his whimpy attitude with challenges. However, last night I saw him in a new light. Its like something clicked within him, I have bad knees and I know he must have been in pain. But he finished! He walked it. I remember the 1/2 marathon they did, He barely did 3 miles. I remember him saying, I knew I wouldn't do it. Pissed me off. But this time he was saying that he was going to complete it. I was very proud of him.

Yes, I loved it when Bob said "fresh meat" to Max.

Last night was a tear jerker for me, I know Ron's kids must have been so proud of him. This should prove to Max that if his dad can do it, so can he!:cool2:

It really discusses nutrition and how important it is to "master your matabolism".

For me, its helping me lose these final 15 pounds. I seem to have stalled for a looooong time. I eat low cal, I exercise, and I don't lose.

Well the book shows how calories are not equal. It discusses the dangers of processed food and what foods you should eat to rev up your matabolism.

I learned to quit buying those frozen weight watchers meals and start preparing my own meals. I am about 3/4 way finished, but it has Enlightened me on how beneficial organic is too. She is so much pro organic.

I don't think its much of a "diet" book, but its more of a nutritional book. Something that I am interested in as I finish losing my final weight.

I went to www.tvguide .com and put in my area and all that then went to next weeks show time, it mentions something about America gets to choose who will be in the next season for us to vote on....I'm thinking one is Max and maybe the other is I could have this part all wrong in my head but didn't yellow have a dad at home who was really big and needed major help? My best guess at who the two will be to choose from

Do they butt seasons up right against each other? Or do they do them starting in January? Because if it's the former and not the latter, they may not be able to use Max yet unless he's turned 18 in the interim.

I didn't get to watch last night's episode yet, but I already voted. The voting was a bit confusing--voting for who STAYS, not who gets eliminated like they usually do on the show. I was giggling like a school girl when I saw both brown guys fell below the line. Hopefully I'll get to watch it tonight.

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

Iʻm roughly 6 weeks post-op this morning and have begun to feel like a normal human, with a normal human body again. I started introducing solid foods and pill forms of medications/supplements a couple of weeks ago and it's really amazing to eat meals with my family again, despite the fact that my portions are so much smaller than theirs.
I live on the island of Oʻahu and spend a lot of time in the water- for exercise, for play,  and for spiritual & mental health. The day I had my month out appointment with my surgeon, I packed all my gear in my truck, anticipating his permission to get back in the ocean. The minute I walked out of that hospital I drove straight to the shore and got in that water. Hallelujah! My appointment was at 10 am. I didn't get home until after 5 pm.
I'm down 31 pounds since the day of surgery and 47 since my pre-op diet began, with that typical week long stall occurring at three weeks. I'm really starting to see some changes lately- some of my clothing is too big, some fits again. The most drastic changes I notice however are in my face. I've also noticed my endurance and flexibility increasing. I was really starting to be held up physically, and I'm so grateful that I'm seeing that turn around in such short order.
My general disposition lately is hopeful and motivated. The only thing that bugs me on a daily basis still is the way those supplements make my house smell. So stink! But I just bought a smell proof bag online that other people use to put their pot in. My house doesn't stink anymore.

Oh yeah, something I wanted to rant about, a billing dispute that cropped up 3 months ago.
Surgery was in August of 2023. A bill shows up for over $7,000 in January. WTF? I asks myself. I know that I jumped through all of the insurance hoops and verified this and triple checked that, as did the surgeon's office. All was set, and I paid all of the known costs before surgery.
A looong story short, is that an assistant surgeon that was in the process of accepting money from my insurance company touched me while I was under anesthesia. That is what the bill was for. But hey, guess what? Some federal legislation was enacted last year to help patients out when they cannot consent to being touched by someone out of their insurance network. These types of bills fall under something called, "surprise billing," and you don't have to put up with it.
      https://www.cms.gov/nosurprises
I had to make a lot of phone calls to both the surgeon's office and the insurance company and explain my rights and what the maximum out of pocket costs were that I could be liable for. Also had to remind them that it isn't my place to be taking care of all of this and that I was going to escalate things if they could not play nice with one another.
Quick ending is that I don't have to pay that $7,000+. Advocate, advocate, advocate for yourself no matter how long it takes and learn more about this law if you are ever hit with a surprise bill.
