Friday Weigh-in

Recommended Posts

I think I might have a gain for the first time since last October. Crap!

I ate like crap last weekend and had my birthday on Monday. I have to get it in gear. I think that I need to tell myself just 15 more pounds because I am getting tired of this weight loss journey. I'm ready to get to maintenance.

I will see my family for the first time since December at the end of next month. They don't know that I have lost all this weight. I decided to tan and look really good when I go down. Well now the "girls" are a little burnt. Wow that is a new experience. It sucks!

Next week I have to do better!

After a doozy of a fill this week, I'm down 8 pounds in three days. I'm sure some of that may be liquid, but that's all I've been able to get down since wednesday. I'm down to 218 tonight. I'm hoping to stay that way. I'm still not very hungry even today, but have had a Protein Drink, a single serve cottage cheese, and two cups of coffee so far. I ordered a smaller size uniform at work tonight again too. Boy does that feel good. A XL shirt and 18 pants, and they run very small. Hope fully next week will be a good one too!! I'm ready to start dropping some weight.

Well I weighed in later in the morning last week and I recorded a 0.3 loss. This week I have 1.7 lb loss. I am so close to that goal of no longer being overweight. I know what I started doing wrong. I started focusing on a big goal when I have to focus on ONE POUND AT A TIME. When I started doing that I started eating better and losing weight. I am not going to make it to the gym today. I hate that. The first day I've missed in weeks (except Sunday when they are closed)

Onward and upward....I mean downward!

How is everyone else doing?

Jill, be sure you aren't too tight. You don't want to fall into soft calorie syndrome.

Holy Cow!!!:tongue2::)

I don't know what I did differently this week, but the scale finally moved!! I'm down 2.2 lbs this week!!!! Dare I say, I'm almost out of the 220's!!!!:cursing:

I use the scale at work (work in a doctors office) and we are closed tomorrow, so I weighed a day early.

I've had this week off from boot camp (starts again Tues a.m. at 5:30 a.m.) but I've missed it this week.

Love to you all.

Still not in onederland but I was down .7 pounds this a.m. (haven't changed myticker yet). I read, on another thread, that there was some study that was done about weight plateau's. Evidently, it shows that if you were at a certain weight for a lengthy period of time as you were gaining weight, when you lose weight you "plateau" at that weight for awhile because your body 'remembers' it. And there's some correlation between how long you stay and that plateau and how long you were at that weight. Don't know if it's true or not. But I went through a phase last month when I was really eating "clean" and exercising like a maniac and I didn't lose anything for, like 3 weeks. I was losing my mind too. Hang in there Julieann

Trying to get back to weighing in and being accountable. I weigh 174.2. I'm okay with that as long as I lose every week.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
