January 2009 Exercise Challenge

Mr Jachut has been off his feet due to a HUGE blister from new shoes

Is it like the one he got on the movie 'Run Fat Boy Run' You HAVE to see that movie if you have not already. Youll love the blister part.

I could use a trainer like his too! He basicaly rides alongside of him on a Moped hitting him with a frying pan if he goes too slow.

I got to get to that half Marthon distance too. I made it 10 miles a few times. But i know i need to do 13 for the Half Iron Man.

Tue, Wed, Thurs: Nothing...SICK!

I've had a stomach bug & have been surviving on crackers & anti-nausea meds.

I actually think a lot of my stomach issues are due to lack of restriction. It seems when I'm not restricted I have these problems. Anyone else have these issues which mainly consist of horribly loud growling, bloating & gas when their not restricted?

Gym tonight - 30 min elliptical, 15 min bike. 6 laps in the pool.

Today: 55 minutes jogging with a mix of power walk on a 5% incline 2.6 miles. Thank goodness the weekend is here. Yahoo!!!:(

45 min. on treadmill. Ran about 30 of it. Got to 3.1 mi (5k). I've decided I'm always going to travel 5K every time I run even if I have to walk part of it.

I've never tried the pool at the gym I belong to. I should - after I find a swimsuit that actually fits!

Friday - 30 min treadmill, 20 min lower body strength, 15 min elliptical.

Ok, took a few days off, but now Whosya is kicking my butt on the challenge, so I am back at it.

Today - 5.5 mile run/walk this morning. Hope to go out and run again the afternoon.

Luluc - get better real soon!!

I have though about renting 'Run Fat Boy Run' but didn't know if it would be jsut too stupid. Maybe I will pick it up!! I'm in the mood for a really silly movie.

      Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

        As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

        Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

        Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

      Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
