I often wonder about my band too, being stretched. You all have seen how much I can eat. For example tonight I had about a cup of beef stew. I only put the beef and a little liquid in my bowl. I left off the potato and carrots. I full but now over full I don't think. THe thing is I don't want to eat that much. I think I need at least another cc up to 5 or 5.5 All of my food goes straight through.

Tamra I think Tina is right you may want to go easy on the carbs since they are so addicting.

John I know what you mean about getting restless. Four weeks is a long time in the world of daytime tv.

Beatriz so glad you checked in with us...I can't advise you on the unfill since My band is no where near full :)

Happy Bandiversary Riley! I'm glad to hear from you. You always have good stuff to say and advice that's right on time.

Heather you are rockin that exercise and the gym keep it up.

Canolie, get some rest if you can tonight going back to work is a shock to the system and sitting at your desk probably did get your port hurting. Oh I'll walk the bridge with you & Tam. I was planning to do that anyway this weekend.

Beatriz you need a SMALL unfill. But don't let them take to much. Get it done before you can't get liquids down otherwise it is a trip to the ER and all your Fluid gone. That is where I am at. Now they haven't let me have a fill for 5 months so by the time I go back it will be six months without any restriction. Seriously I would not let it get to a point you can't get Water down cause than your screwed!!

Boy it took me 1/2 hour to catch up. Yes, you are not supposed to do anything other than walking until you are 6 wks post op.- definitely no weights.

I have never weighed my food - I was told to measure my food and to only have 1/4 -1/3 cup per meal. I typically have 1/2 cup per meal as even at 7 cc 1/3 cup doesn't fill me up most of the time. Our pouch will only hold a certain amount of food by volume not weight.

I was in a Project Management training class all day today and will be for the next two days too. It is pretty interesting and the instructor is great. I am taking my lunch with me tomorrow as they have a refrigerator and microwave. I had costco frozen yogurt for lunch today.

I went to the gym in this awful weather - was there from 7-8 pm - did 1/2 hour on the elliptical and did half an hour of weights and my stomach crunches. I had to talk myself into going as I was drowsy, but I felt better afterwards.

Great to see you on again Christine - can't wait to see little Dex arrive.

Candra - did you go in to Kaiser? Hope you are feeling better soon.

Maria - were you able to get Tina's appointment?

John and Lee - glad to see you are both hanging in there.

Heather - you amaze me with the time you spend at the gym.

Riley - glad to see you back on here - I missed you.

Tina - thinking good thoughts for you.

Tamra - hang in there - I know it is really hard to make the right choices - I have been where you are before - don't beat yourself up about it, but please be strong - you can do it.

Hi to everyone else I missed. I'll check in again tomorrow night.

Tina- I so admire you committment to this. I can't believe it's really been six months since that crazy too-tight/unfill incident. Perhaps Robin and Baggs just didn't realize that you've been without restriction for that long. Or that you've been without restriction for a longer period of time than you had it. I just can't imagine why they'd refuse to fill you up! I know Dr. Baggs has a big ol needle with your name on it! lol.

I did end up at the gym tonight. I just fell asleep on the couch first! But I still got an hour in on the elliptical.

Coco- were you guys talking about the bridge on 3/6?

Ah Reggie I hear ya about losing weight quick. So you have to lose 10 between fills too?? When was your last appointment? How much do you have to be done. If you don't lose do you still go in or cancell the appointment? Do you still see Robin? Just wondering what Dr. Parks is like.

Tina, I'm so sorry this journey has been such a struggle for you. I hope that you and Dr. Baggs work out something that will help you.

I didn't sleep well last night. Nagging little cough in the back of my throat. I got up at 5am and dumped all the leftover flowers in the house, just in case it was the pollen irritating my throat. I felt like I was up every hour to drink Water. Good news is that I kept in 1/2 cup of Tomato Soup last night. No runs until morning.

John, do you sometimes feel like there are fingers wrapped around your Sleeve, squeezing it? It passes fairly quickly but is disconcerting when it happens every 30 minutes or so. I guess it's a spasm.

Ok John, so post your first week loss and let me get jealous as all get out. I went from 228.8 to 221.4 for a loss of 7.4 for the week. I'm thrilled. So happy, so excited and almost out of the 220's. I never expected it to happen so quickly.

Have a fun day everyone!

Morning all!

How is everyone doing?

Loving the rain! Except one of my windows is leaking… Weighed myself this morning and I’m down 9 pounds since surgery day a week ago today.

Reggie – You could go back to stage II. You can do it!!

Hi Beatriz – I think we met last week at the hospital!?!?

Heather – Nice going with the workouts!

Nicolie – Congrats on getting advanced. I can’t wait!

Candra – How are you feeling?

Lee – How are you?

How is everyone else?

Hi Lee – Can’t say I have that feeling other then when I have my ½ cup Soup. I can tell I have a high pressure zone (stomach) when I’m downing the soup. I think it will just take time for us and our new stomachs to get used to each other. My abdomen is still pretty sore.

Congrats on the 7.4 pounds!!!!!!!

John, I knew you'd kick my bootie! Congrats on a great week!

My only soreness is around the biggest incision on my waistline. I coughed all last night and it didn't make me cry so things must be healing in there. I don't even want to know the tools they were digging around in there with!

Good Morning all,

Please give me some ideas for stage 4 Breakfast. I don't eat eggs, and it seems like that's all it has for ideas in the binder.< /span>

Was up to 233.6 this morning which I expected after chinese, and I am thinking the toast has to go away also.

Lee ~ Congrads on the loss!! whoo hoo!!

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...
