Recommended Posts

CANDRA, you are soooooo funny LMAO! off the hook girlfriend. Hey I will be at the next Elk Grove meeting. Lets plan the getting together thing.

Maria, We are cheering for you.

Monique, I think we all are hoping for the best and rejuvenate the following day, but honestly Dr.Fisher did give me a wake up call. I did ok today and plan on doing better tomorrow.

Thanks Riley, You know as much as what he said hurt it was true. I think it was my ego that was bruised. So now I am doing something about it again. I think I will go back for a fill again before Christmas or after. What o you all think. Robin said she can get me in a a couple of weeks.

Maria, I'm cheering for you too! I can't wait to read tomorrow how well you're doing. You have a great cheering section here.

Tamra, You're doing awesome on whatever that diet is that you're doing. It's great to see you so energized about it.

Kaiser Richmond tomorrow night. I'm definitely going. If it's rainy like this I'll be wearing an Eddie Bauer turquoise short rain jacket thing and either jeans or black pants. I'm 5'4, fat, 59 with mixed brown/blond/grey almost shoulder length messy hair and green eyes, brown glasses.

Who else is going?

Lee you posted same time as me! I will be in dark blue jeans, and probably my pink "Lake Tahoe" hooded sweatshirt  it was freezing out that way this evening and tomorrow should be the same!

Hey I went to the Lap Band website to request one of those fancy id cards like yours Riley. I registered, but when I tried to request the id card it asked me for my temporary id card number - I never received a packet - so I called the phone number and the message said I need to know the model # of my band. Does anyone know which model they gave us - they gave an example of AP1? This is almost too much work.

Hey Pammie - that's why I was trying to find out what kind of band we have. I know it's an Allergan because it says so on my band in the picture I have of it LOL but I can't find anything on the type of allergan band it is. when I called Richmond I was told i could find out when I see The Doc on the 15th.

MARIA.... YOU GO GIRL... CAN'T WAIT TO HEAR FROM YOU TOMORROW!!

Reggie, my love, I could use that reality check from The Doc cuz I'm right there with you - going the wrong way on the weight loss highway! I'm ready to call Jenny. figure I can kick with Valerie and be on TV in a Bakini (with my body magic girdle underneath) in not time. Care to join me?

Donna - I just want to let you know that I'm not speaking to you - you had fun without me and I am suppose to be your Italian Twin! WT..? Still love you though and I will get over it hahahahaha

Liz-zard - I'm on FB and I'm gonna PM you my info BUT... NOBODY ON Facebook KNOWS I GOT BANDED SO MUMS THE WORD. I THINK MOST OF US ARE HUSH HUSH ABOUT IT ON FB SO WE NEVER MENTION IT - CAPICE?

Nicollie - I got 1 txt when I got home from the bridal show - I had left my phone - my salvation - at home on the charger - I figured by 9pm you had already left

Oh, and when I set my 3 month appt up with The Doc I did NOT make an appt with Robin. I don't really need a nutritionist that doesn't understand my body (she didn't believe that I had stuck to the 1200 cal diet and gained weight - but The Doc did) so.... I was told that I do NOT have to meet with her - I'd rather work with a food shrink.... How do I get referred to one or do I even need to be referred? Can I just call the psych dept and schedule it??

Jewel - and anybody else in the area or who wants to roll out... the girdle lady is come to bridezillas to fit us all (the wedding party) and I told her there might be a few others - this is just a "private show" so to speak and you can buy if you want. I volunteered and was the live model at the bridal fair - big surprise there - but the rest of the bridal party was to "ashamed" or embarassed to try one on in front of everybody so she's coming to the "V". she will be bringing a bunch of em in all sizes - Hey, those things really do take the pressure of the lower back. You all shoulda seen me - they sqeezed my ass in a 34 but then said it was too big and I needed a 32 - when I say sqeeze - I mean it took two of them to get me in the damn thing! SQUEEZED! so, if nothing else, should be fun to watch them try to get me in a 32 like a sausage LOL. Cpt. Mo, Tamra... you down? suppose to also help the skin shrink back after having a baby - i assume the same for WLS... I mean a pray it's the same hahahaha

Wow, is it really only 9:00 - I'm so tired it feels like midnight. sweet dreams all!

Maria your up tomorrow...........you'll be fine. Post when you can. Tell Dr. Baggs his fan club said hello!! That will make him blush!!

Some of us were thinking to start a post op thread over on the post op section. That way we can have a thread about post op issues and than keep this one open for new people coming in and starting out. So we can mentor them through. I just think the post op (especially at 7 months out) stuff can get kinda boring and involved for the new people.........so maybe starting another post op thread would be good. Anyone know how to do it.

Might be less overwhelming for some of us if we have a forum for post op issues and than one for pre op issues. We can go back and forth or we can chose which one to stay in.

Not trying to split up the group but one theory os groups is that when they get to large they lose their intimacy and it is harder to connect. This would be a way to make the groups smaller so we keep our contact and support without people feeling out of touch.

Just my idea...........I know other people have voice the same thing and I think we do need to split the group into smaller subgroups so we all feel supported and don't lose people or people don't feel lost becuase the numbers are getting so large.......

Comments??? Pipe up people!! Tell me what you think. I like the big group for some things. But for day to day support I think the smaller sub groups would be helpful to some of us.

hey all, wow so many pages...beat tired but I wanted to check in.

Candra, I bought the body magic last night boy is that thing tight!! The girl said she had just did a bridal show over the weekend. anyway I paid $150. I'm thinking of being a distributor.

Maria, good luck girl! don't worry it's a piece of cake! you will be out before you know it and in 2 days you will be on mend and on your way to a new you. Don't forget to have someone give us an update. I'll try and check in tomorrow just to see. .

Reggie, sorry about not getting the fill. I am really not doing good. I am up 2 lbs from my ticker. nothing gets me full. I sure hope she gives me a fill. I really want to loose these 4-5 lbs before I go in.

Oh, Monique I know about those 1st few days back to work try to take it easy and yes plan your meal. I think that's where I messed up as soon as I went back to work my good eating habits went out the window argh!! I found out we have a mutual friend Jean

I'll try and do the meeting tomorrow in Richmond, if I get home in time. I need the support too.

My life keeps interfearing with my weight loss! I can't make it to the support group tomorrow because it's my 14th wedding anniversary and guess what - yep - we're going out to EAT! Grrr!!!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
