Piehole report was pretty good because we went to Taco Bell.. I got the new Deluxe nachos or something, and it was a disgusting mess. No nachos, just the taco shell with a bunch of cold goop in it (suppose to have meat & beans!!). I argued with the girl at the window about it, till DH got mad at me for causing a stink so we left.. I threw it away.

Had a hot chocolate, a chocolate milk, and lots of water..

Got so hungry, finally broke down and bought a Reese Cup and some "Hot Fries" (yuck) from the vending machine..ate the Reese's and a couple of the fries.

Oh my god, about to blow my brains out, got a customer of a customer that I'm not even suppose to talk to, being an ass and being unreasonable.

Terry - love Smith and Wollensky's! If it's not a fixed menu make sure you try the crab cakes. They're really amazing... or if you get your fill you can always eat their split pea soup!

I went in to work this morning and for a 3 1/2 hour shift I had 6 people and one of those was me. Oh well. Anyway while I was there I turned the radio on and they were telling that the tickets for the "Eagles" were going on sale at 10. So off I went and ended up getting 2 tickets. Can I even exlpain how excited I am- NO WAY. So I came home and told hubby that I had taken care of both of our Christams presents and did he want his now or wait till Christmas day. He chose to wait. So I'm done with my shopping. Now I just have to wait till March 28th.

Watchiing the news and they are calling for more snow tonight and some more tomorrow evening. Yikes.

Have a good one.

Haydee, it looks like I got your card back from your birthday in October!! I didn't open it, but the date on the postmark is the 9th of October. I had a p.o. box number on it. I will send it with your christmas card! Be careful when you open it because the birthday card has a lot of money it it!

Cold here today, went to casino and won 10.23. Actually with lunch I am in a hole a couple of bucks. Oh well, it was fun, but didn't understand machine I was on. Kept winning every once in a while, so kept at it.

Have a good night!!

Pie Hole Report: I have been terrible today . . .but it was an unusual day.

I had a cup of shredded wheat with milk for Breakfast.

1 cup of coffee

Water, water and more water.

Cheeseburger and fries for lunch (why would I do this? I had an 12:00 OB appointment and missed lunch . . . on the first floor they had a snack bar with almost no options and I got a whiff of cheeseburger and couldn't resist).

I will try to be good for dinner . . . and tomorrow's another day, right???

Good GOD I love all you ladies!!!

I loved Lauras joke about eating at the holidays...especially the end! Then I read all of your pie hole reports and realize I'm not the only sinner today! I am not even gonna go into it other than to say I haven't frozen the Cookies yet so I have alot less to freeze now:scared2:.

I mailed off my secret santa gift....it should be there by Friday they said.

Enchiladas and rice & chips for lunch. Not a good bandster at all. Kat, thanks for sending Macy the card! She loved it!

Have a great evening everyone...I am going to freeze my cookies....FAST!!!

Good evening, Violets..

Another rehearsal done. Just one more tomorrow night and then the performances. I have a funeral to sing for tomorrow morning and then nothing til rehearsal in the evening. Tomorrow is my DS's 33rd b'day!! YIKES... it just doesn't seem possible. I remember the day I gave birth to him so clearly it couldn't have been that long ago, could it?? COULD IT?????

Kat.. Ethan loved the card you and Kinsey sent. He kept counting the puppies.

Oh and he got ahold of Bob's cell phone and called me and DS Joshua. Twice. What a hoot. At least he didn't call anyone overseas!!

My piehole report for the day.

1 slice cheese

1 cup chocolate milk (lo-fat)

1 cup left over Almond chicken

1/2 cup raspberries with heavy cream

handful of chocolate chips

5 bites of lasagna

1/2 piece of fudge

Done for the day.

The Bobster picked up our new snowblower today so let it snow anytime now!! We're prepared.

The wind blew so hard here today that it blew off a piece of trim from the storm door! The side roads are just solid ice and I'm wondering if they will have school tomorrow.

Going to go watch tv with the Bobster and then go and get the last of the ingredients for fudge. We made 2 batches that were too grainy. I found a new recipe and it's wonderful. Got 3 batches made with 3 left to go. Then cut it, box it and get it out of here!!

Everyone have a good night. sleep well. Stay warm!!

hey gals

i'm home

long ass day, left Buffalo at 4am worked all day, had to go get my paycheck - long story - then to the bank, then we went to dinner at the bar, I got a chicken quesidilla (sorry for the sp) not fried, grilled so i ate 2 sm pcs at the bar and eating 1 not. Ran into Dicky at the bar, he cam over... he has not met my kids, was chatting with them, he hates kids... my mom was there, she said she could tell he really liked me the way he was looking at me, and asked how old he was, she was shocked he was 60. he is so sweet, always kissing me when i see him, even if a sweet and innocent kiss goodbye... i love kissing him... what is with me?

anyway, i'm going to pass out, long day today and tomorrow is going to be another. We got power back last night (but i just got home) so i have cabinets. They will bee done and ready for counter tops to be measured tomorrow. HOW Exciting!

anyway, love ya'all.... thanks again

oh... if someone does not get a pkg... I am sending it out tomorrow.... and i'm sending priority mail so you should have it by Thurs or Friday... hope you like it!

Tracking a winter storm headed this way. Hope the weather people are just blowing smoke again. I swear I wish I had their job.

Sister actually made dinner tonight. She baked a chicken, mashed potatoes, stuffing and peas. Yummy.

Have a great evening.

Wow, what a horrible time for y'all to reinstate the pie hole report! My steroids combined with stress---maybe it would be easier for me to tell you what I didn't eat today!

I'll try to give the highlights (!)

B-scrambled egg with sausage & cheese

S-string cheese, oatmeal cookie, couple of Ritz crackers, Diet Dr. Pepper

L-Junior bacon cheeseburger at Wendy's and 2 ---exactly 2 french fries from Kinsey's meal! More Diet Dr. Pepper

S-choc chip cookie, handful of popcorn

D-chicken strip, maybe 1/4 sm. potato fried with onions, green beans--and FINALLY some water! Sitting here drinking another bottle of Water now, and pretending there are not 2 containers of Cookies within reach!

Hives have wigged out seriously again, confirming my belief that they are stress related.

DD, DGD, and 2 dogs are with us until Thursday---when her utilities go on in her new place. Jason said she had to go NOW, he did not take it well, cursed her and condemned her to rot in hell, because she is breaking his heart. He suddenly wants to see Kinsey----she did her church program twice, and he never bothered to see it, or check with her the entire 2 days I had her while Manda worked---but suddenly she is the most important thing in the world again. I wish he could feel that way when she is with him.....Makes me incredibly sad.

Her dogs are allowed on the furniture----I never have allowed that, and she knows it, yet it is a constant battle, and one she quickly gave up on to keep them off. The chihuahua, pooped right in MY bedroom, and of course Rick found it......she cleaned it up, but I swear I still smell it!

Kinsey is soooooo well behaved when I have her through the day, but she always tests a bit when her Mama comes, and now she is here too???? Oh boy, lets run, and bounce off the walls and furniture and talk back, and refuse to sit down and eat......

All the while Rick, justs takes it all, and does not say a word when dogs are climbing all over him, and Kinsey is running between him and the game on TV-----how he remains so calm I don't know, my stress level is sky high! Right now tho.....they are all in bed, and it is quiet!

So add to that, that I come home today to a message on my machine from my DS's ex wife, saying she wants to talk to him, his DD wants to see him. I was thrilled! Called DS, and he is all pissy over it. So what if she has an agenda??? We might get to see our oldest Granddaughter! He never called us back, so my guess is he is going to pretend he never heard what I told him, sometimes he is such a dumbass! Sad but true! He really lets the women in his life manipulate him.....and other times he is so much like his birth Mom it is downright scary! She has always had the attitude that if she did not want to deal with it, she ignored it, and maybe it would go away. If it was a utility bill, and she had no money, she would ignore it until suddenly the call come in, that there was no power for the kids to see by.....if it was a court appearance, she pretended it was gonna go away. They never do, it only gets worse----she is 46 and still thinks that. And there are times, I think DS acts the same way....this might very well be one of them. Hard to decide how much to push, and be a nosy buttinski, and how much to let him deal with on his own.

Well, I did not make it to the PO today, but have everything boxed so will go in the morning!!! My SS should be there before Christmas!!! LOL

Our high today was 26. I finally got my kiss ON the snow---it had quit by the time we got up!!! LOL It has spit a bit of snow through the day, but the second storm is to hit us tomorrow, and the wind is howling. Our windchill is -1 right now. If the storm hits before early morning, it should be ok, but if not it will be soooooo cold in the morning!

At least Kinsey doesn't have to be drug out in it in the morning! Looking for the silver lining here!!!

Well, I am going to head to bed, things are so chaotic, who knows what tomorrow will bring???!!!

Hugs girlies, stay warm....and for those of you sick---feel better quick!!!

Kat

Four days post surgery. I am sipping as fast as I can and getting NO WHERE near the goal of 60 - 80 grams of protein or the 64 oz of liquids. I just feel FULL. I don't know if it can still be the gas build up (I would think by now that would be gone) but it is a struggle to drink. And so far I have not had the nausea or spasms and don't want to wander into that territory by pushing too hard with liquids. I about passed out today as it was my most "strenuous" day. Went from second story to basement for shower and I was sure I was going to pass out. Looking back on my last few days I have had a total of less than 1000 calories. Am I just not getting enough nourishment in me? Once again a friday where I can't get ahold of the doc until Monday rolls back around so I am hoping maybe someone here has some experience on how to keep energy going. I do have fibromyalgia too and that may be where some added fatigue comes into play. How did you all fair with the goals the week after surgery?

2 days until I fly out to San Diego to have my Bypass Surg. in Tiajuana Mexico. Not gonna lie, the nerves are starting to surface. I don't fear the surgery itself, or the fact that I'm traveling alone, but its the aftermath that I'm stressing about the most, after this 8 week wait. I'm excited to finally be here, but I am really dreading the post surgical chapter. I know its going to be tough, real tough and I think I'm just in my head to much now that the day i here. Wish me luck, Hopefully I'm one of the lucky ones, and everything goes smoothly. Cant wait to give an exciting update,. If there is anyone else have a June bypass or even a recent one, Id love to have someone to compare war stories with. Also, anyone near San Antonio Tx? See ya soon with the future me. 💜

I'm in Houston so kind of near you and had the sleeve in Dec. Down 61 lbs. Feeling better. Was definitely worth it. I hope the everything is going well for you. Update us when you can!

    • LeighaTR

I am new here today... and only two weeks out from my sleeve surgery on the 23rd. I am amazed I have kept my calories down to 467 today so far... that leaves me almost 750 left for dinner and maybe a snack. This is going to be tough for two weeks... but I have to believe I can do it!

Hey everyone. I'm new here so I thought I should introduce myself. I am 53y/o and am scheduled for Gastric Bypass on June 25th, 2025. I'm located in San Antonio, Texas. I will be having my surgery in Tiajuana Mexico. I've wanted this for years, but I always had insurance where bariatric procedures were excluded. Finally I am able to afford to pay out of pocket.  I can't wait to get started, and I hope I'm prepared for the initial period of "hell". I know what I have signed up for, but I'm sure the good to come will out way the temporary period of discomfort and feelings of regret. I'd love to find people to talk to who have been through the same procedure or experience before. So I look forward to meeting you all. Hope you have a great week!

I'm so happy for you! You are about to change your life. I was so glad to get the sleeve done in Dec. I didn't have feelings of regret overall. And I'm down almost 60 lbs. I do feel a little sad at restaurants. I can barely eat half a kid's meal. I get adults meals often because kid ones don't have the same offerings at times. Then I feel obligated to eat on that until it's gone and that can be days. So the restaurant thing isn't great for me. All the rest is fine by me! I love feeling full with very little. I do wish I could drink when eating. And will sip at the end. Just a strong habit to stop. But I'm working on it! You will do fine! Just keep focused on your desire to be different. Not better or worse. But different. I am happy both ways but my low back doesn't like me that heavy. So I listened (also my feet!). LOL! Update us on your journey! I'm not far from you. I'm in Houston. Good luck and I hope it all goes smoothly! Would love to see pics of the town you go to for this. I've never been there. Neat you will be traveling for this! Enjoy the journey. Take it one day at a time. Sometimes a few hours at a time. Follow all recommendations as best you can. 💗

      2. Doughgurl

Thank you so much for your well wishes. I am hoping that everything goes easy for me as well. We don't eat out much as it is, so it wont be too bad in that department. Thankfully. Also, I hear you regarding your back and feet!! I'd like to add knees to the list. Killing me as we speak! I'm only 5' so the weight has to go. Too short to carry all this weight. Menopause really did a doosey on me. (😶lol) My daughter also lives in Houston. with her Husband and my 5 grand-littles. I grew up in Beaumont, so I know Houston well, I will be sure to keep in touch and update you on my journey. I may need some advice in the future, or just motivation. Thank You so much for reaching out, I was hoping to connect with someone in the community. I really appreciate it. 💜

On day 4 of the 2 week liquid pre-op diet. Surgery scheduled for June 11th.
Soooo I am coming to a realization
of something and I'm not sure what to do about it. For years the only thing I've enjoyed is eating. We rarely do anything or go anywhere and if we do it always includes food. Family comes over? Big family dinner! Go camping? Food! Take a short ride or trip? Food! Holiday? Food! Go out of town for a Dr appointment? Food! When we go to a new town we don't look for any attractions, we look for restaurants we haven't been to. Heck, I look forward to getting off work because that means it's almost supper time. Now that I'm drinking these pre-op shakes for breakfast, lunch, and supper I have nothing to look forward to.  And once I have surgery on June 11th it'll be more of the same shakes. Even after pureed stage, soft food stage, and finally regular food stage, it's going to be a drastic change for the rest of my life. I'm giving up the one thing that really brings me joy. Eating. How do you cope with that? What do you do to fill that void? Wow. Now I'm sad.

I hope your surgery on Wednesday goes well. You will be able to do all sorts of new things as you find your new normal after surgery. I don't know this from experience yet, but I am seeing a lot of positive things from people who have had it done. Best of luck!
