Mini goal by New Years Day?? Any takers??

Recommended Posts

OK, I'm officially putting it out here for accountability's sake. I am going to strive really hard to be under 200 lbs by the new year. Thats 11 pounds in 5 weeks and 3 days (from today (11-24) which probably seems reasonable to most of you, but I am really struggling to lose 1 pound a week right now and the turkey with all the goodies isn't even on the table yet. I need to do this to be accountable and maybe you will join me in the Quest of a mini goal by new years day. Who's up for it??

Oh I would like to be down 15, That would be 3 lbs a week, I think that is a realistic goal for me. It is something i know that i could do if i just put my mind to it. I have been trying to let my band do all of the work and i have not mentally participated. I think i need to step up to the plate. I just my third fill today I think i have 4 cc in a 10 cc band. Good luck to all. :)

I'M in. I want to lose 25lbs by New year. This is reasonable for me. I've got one more week on my pre op diet and then I will be banded the 4th of Dec. Gives me about 6 weeks to lose 25lbs. That would be 4lbs per week. I think I can do it!

The guy from indiana is in. I will set my first goal at 11 pounds by new years. This is my official 1 week mark and I weighed today since my surgery date. I have lost 3 pounds. Now that doesn't seem like a lot in a week considering I am still on full liquids, but that's still 3 pounds that I don't have to lose in the future.

I want to start the new year off weighing less than 360. So let's be accountable and good luck to everyone!!

Thanks to all of you who have decided to get in on the New Year challenge. :) I think accountability will help all of us stay on track and hopefully not pig out too much on Thanksgiving day. I wish I had more restriction right now, but I think I'm up to it as I LOVE a challenge. Plus, right after my surgery I promised my DH a special treat :wub:when I got under 200....I think it must have been the drugs talking! LOL! Good luck everyone, and lets all meet up on New Years DAY to see how we did.

I'm in. I was banded on 11/21/08. I am hoping that I will be down to 230 by the first of the year. 243.5 at this writing. Still on liquids. That is about 14 pounds.

Yes I can!!! I know I can!!!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
