Recommended Posts

This is going to be a tough one for me I can only have.

1.All I want sugar-free Jello, or sugar free Popsicles

2.Low carb Protein drink only two per day

3.no sugar added fudgsicles 3 per day

I have to do this for two whole days:rolleyes:

wow I see alot of other diets, and mine is simular to the above!

But Clear Liquids for 2 days, and on the 2nd day I have to take 2 doses of milk of mag.

I am on a low carb diet consisting of 2 vanilla Optifast shakes a day (let me tell you I can't stand these things and gag everytime I have one), plus Protein and free veges for night time meal. I can have cheese and/or ham and any free veges if I'm too hungry between shakes/meal. No dairy at all (other than cheese) which is killing me.

Surgery is 4th Novemer so thankfully not too may more shakes.< /p>

Mine is:

Protein shake for Breakfast and lunch

Tomato juice for morning snack

Lean Quizine, Healthy Choice, or Smart One for supper

Fat free yogurt or Protein Shake for evening snack

Carbs are to be 50-80 grams

Protein is to be 60-90 grams

Calories are to be 800-1000

I do get the evening off the night before my surgery. I had already planned a Pampered Chef party and they said as long as I do not get carried away that I would be fine. I have planned food that is very "pre-op diet friendly". I know I will be over a bit on carbs and calories but not by much if I use my head.

I start my pre-op diet on October 29 and go to November 11 when I have surgery. Just under two weeks by a day or two.

Mine is low-carb, which I'm well versed in. I've been doing Atkins on and off for about 2yrs now.

Starting today! Surgery in 14 days!!! :):w00t::thumbup::w00t::mellow:

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
