Halloween 2009

Recommended Posts

Have you thought about our Bandiversary? I know it is a year away. I know we will have short term goals and long term goals, but what about next Halloween?

I think I'm going to go as a nurse (I am a nurse) but with the white dress, cap, and heels. I would love to be able to dress up like that for Halloween AND LOOK GOOD DOING IT!!!!

No matter how I dress I plan to go as a much happier, more comfortable person!!!! :girl_hug:

I agree! I don't have my date set in stone yet, but know that it will be in October. Halloween is my favorite holiday, so it makes me VERY happy that I will have my new b-day in the same month as Halloween! I can't wait until next halloween when I don't have to wear some ridiculous costume that is too tight and NEVER looks like it does on me as it does on the size 10 "plus size" model wearing it on the display. I want to go as something naughty, like a dominatrix or something like that that will excite the DH. :girl_hug:

I bought the fabric and all the accessories to make an gown like one of Arwen's in Lord of the Rings last year, but did not follow through because I couldnt stand the idea of being so big in that gown. I cant wait to be able to make it next year when I look good in it!

Oh, those are great ideas! I love dressing up anytime, theme parties are too much fun! I think I want to be a biker chick, I already have the motorcycle, but I hope to look better riding it next year. I won't be too risque`, I AM old enough to be a grandma, but I will have more fun and dance more at the party!

Those are some cool ideas too!! Like you ladies, I am just excited to be able to dress up next year and not feel so self-consious. I am sure this surgery will not "fix" how I feel about myself, but it wil cetainly help...

HALLOWEEN 2009, HERE WE COME!!

Mamacj - That's what I want to go as.. a (thinner) Biker Chick... I hope to have new leathers at halloween next year. We were at Street Vibrations in Reno today looking at leathers and my husband said I'm going to end up with a set for every day of the week!

Maybe one of those leather halter tops too!

Absolutely Vidahlia! I hope your surgery went well, I am 2 days post op and feeling good, just a bit sore. I can't wait to see the numbers drop!! This halloween will probably be a floor length gown from an earlier century, but next year, LOOK OUT, biker leather and my Harley boots!!

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
