Hello Everyone!

This is my first post! I have been looking into getting lap band surgery for awhile now, but still haven't "pulled the trigger" so to speak. I live in Seattle, WA and would love to talk to people that are in the area who have had this surgery. I don't think there is anyway I could afford getting the surgery done in the States, so I was looking at possibly going to Mexico. I would be very interested to hear from people who have done this, and their thoughts on the whole process.

What was the final straw for you to finally make the decision to go through with getting the surgery? If you had it done out of the US where do you get your fills when you come back? Was it difficult to get your friends and family on board for having the surgery done out of the country?

I have so many questions! It's exciting, and a little scary, to start this process. Feel free to add any thoughts or information I forgot to ask about. I am just really ready to change my life for the better. Thanks to everyone who responds!

Congratulations and good luck! I am in Seattle. I was self-pay and it was a lot more expensive than I see ads for on this board! But it has been completely worth it!
