Hey Ya'll, You Guessed It I'm From Texas! Just Wanted To Introduce Myself. I Have Been Reading Posts For About A Month. I Am 32, Married To A Wonderful Man This Time, Lol.... I Have 2 Boys And 1 Girl. They Keep Me Busy! I Work As A Nurse So My Schedule Is Hectic. I Am Waitng On The Insurance Company To Say Git-r-done!!! I Still Have To Go For A Physical. Did My Bloodwork Already. Just Playing The Waiting Game. Anyway, I Hope To Meet Some People From The Ft. Worth Area. Maybe Make Some New Friends. Ya'll Know How Intimidating It Can Be To Try To Make New Friends Being What They Call "morbidly Obese". Hope To Talk To Some Of Ya'll Soon.. I WILL BE HAVING MY LAP BAND WITH DR. MARSDEN FROM LEWISVILLE, TX. I'M 5'5" AND 274#. I HAVE AT LEAST 125 LBS TO LOSE. I WAS ALWAYS BIG BONED NOT REALLY THAT FAT NOW THAT I LOOK BACK AT THE PICTURES I DIDN'T LOOK AS BAD AS I THOUGHT. AFTER GETTING PREGNANT THE WEIGHT NEVER CAME BACK OFF. I LOVE GOING TO CURVES TO EXERCISE, SO HOPEFULLY THAT WILL HELP THE PROCESS GO A LITTLE FASTER AFTER I GET BANDED. JAMIE

Guess what?! I live in Sanger, and I am getting an appt. with Dr. Marsden in Lewisville, too!!! I am working on the 10 page form now, having letters written to the insurance company. My insurance will cover the surgery, if I qualify :rolleyes ...BMI 40 (estimate), joint pain, numerous failed attempts at weight loss, etc...I am 5'7" and weigh in the neighborhood of 280, so I have some serious weight to lose. I have a 7 year old daughter, and I'm kinda fond of walking, so must take off weight so I can prowl the parks at WDW again, without pain this time! Since you're a little ahead of me, would you mind being a bit of guide for me? You KNOW we both have that good ol' Texas hospitality! Let's "Git-R-Done!"

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
