Doesn't your surgeon tell you which to drink? If not, you are LUCKY

We are supposed to have EAS Carb Advant EDGE or Isopure from GNC, and one other one that is at a store on the other side of town so I don't remember it.

IMHO they all taste kind of icky. When I'm HUNGRY I want food, not sweet icky stuff. I haven't tried the isopure tho....it's just for post op.

There are several options out there and it comes down to which one you think tastes best. What one likes, another won't like. My advise is whichever one you pick make sure it's high in Protein because you won't be getting a lot of calories in the beginning but you want to make sure you are getting in your protein requirements.

I liked Atkins Advantage too. I gagged on the EAS. From pre-surgery experience Slim Fast is pretty good but my surgeon does not allow Slim Fast (too much sugar).

I really like the powders?utm_source=BariatricPal&utm_medium=Affiliate&utm_campaign=CommentLink" target="_ad" data-id="1" >unjury. Very flavorful. The unflavored is great to add to your food also, so far I have not been able to taste it when added to Soups, Jello or pudding.

The New whey Protein bullets also seem to be popular. They have 42 gms of Protein per bullet, so you can split it over the day. Add it to your Crystal Light, it is good and not chalky.

Experiment with them, I liked and tolerated the unjury shakes until after surgery then well I became "allergic" to them, the doctor said it's not uncommon, so he changed me from whey Protein, to soy and now I am fine, I have unflavored unsweetened Protein powder from GNC at 25 grams of Protein per scoop, I put that in my Soups and it's pretty good.

I also have EAS Advantage chocolate, and add ice and skim milk and a shot of Hersey's sugar free Chocolate Syrup and it's very good. Wish Wal-Mart had more flavors.

Try different ones before surgery.

Good luck

you can buy the eas at any walgreen pharmacy, just ask them to order them for you, an also at stop&shop in the nutrion section, the are gonna be expensive at GNC two for twenty dollars for a four pack. but stop&shop has them for five dollars eack so i get four packs for twentythree dollars, but the lasttime i bought them at walgreens they were seven dollars for four.just thought i let you know.good luck on your journey.sil

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
