so...Frustrated!!!!!!

Recommended Posts

I am so frustrated that I have tears in my eyes. I have been going thru the very comprehensibe lap band program at U-Mass in Worcester. Just before my appt with the surgeon (finally at the end of my pre-surgical journey) the office calls me and asked why din't I go have a sleep apnea study done. No one scheduled it for me. They goofed and now because of that I had to see a pulmonologis who did clear me of needing one. Now after taking a month and a half to do that I probably won't get my band until the end of July or beginning of August, depending on when my insurance approveal is received. UGH!!!!! I have a wedding in California in October that I so wanted to have pounds gone for. I could just have a 4 year old temper tantrum. Hugs needed

Don't be discouraged there are usually a snag or two along the way when dealing with insurances. Just be glad you have yours behind you! Take a deep breath and envision yourself skinny. Now don't you feel better! ((HUGS))

((hugs))) ((hugs))) going out to you. When did they send your paperwork off or is it just getting ready to go?? You might have a quick turn around with the approval.

Hang in there it is an emotional rollercoaster and everything happpens for a reason.. I know that is not what you want to hear right now but just keep your chin up.

{{{{{{{{HUGGGGSSSS}}}}}}}}}}}} these are BIG hugs AND someone taught me how to do a kiss, too. So, MUAH! (Isn't that cute?)

I'm so sorry. I hate that you feel so tossed around. It will be here soon, and I know it doesn't feel like it. As for the wedding, maybe it will be a better "Before" memory for the people you see. That way, when they see you Next time, you'll seem even MORE shockingly thinner! God's timing is perfect. You may never know why your date is what it is, but it will be perfect for you!

And this is the perfect place for a temper tantrum, so you just fuss and kick away, girl! Waaaaahhhhh!!!

I know how you feel. I have been waiting on Insurance since March 2. My secondary insurance keeps misplacing things and misrouting it. It is so frustrating.

Dont fret too hard. Look at it like this, no one has said you cant get your band and wouldn't that be the absolute worst.

I know this won't make you feel any better, but I'm gonna say it anyway: Just be happy your insurance covers the band! A lot of us had to self-pay. Besides, it's the bride's wedding, so everyone will be looking at her. You'll have your day soon.

I understand your frustration completely! I just had to go to my PCP to get more paperwork for the surgeon's office to send to the insurance company. I am so ready to be a bandster....it's driving me crazy. Plus I must think positive, but I am afraid that my insurance will not cover the band. Wow, I hope I am wrong!! I just pray that it will be covered. I will say a little prayer for you. Hang in there.....there are a lot of people like us going through all the pre-op jazz and everyone hits some kind of snag, but things usually work out for the best.

This stinks! Is there any way your surgery can be moved up? Since the delay was the fault of the medical center and not due to anything you did, maybe the staff could squeeze your band into the June schedule. If not, well, you probably don't have much choice but to hang tough and wait for July/August to roll around. Don't worry, those calendar pages will fly.

Thanks all....I went and drowned my sorrows in a Long Island Ice Tea at TGI Fridays...Your right DeLarla...No one is going to be looking at me. Sometimes I can be so self centered. I needed that. Zoe...I am going to call her Monday and ask her to ask the Dr if anything can be done or at least be put on a cancellation list. I have to understand that there are some things that I cannot control. But being the control freak that I am this is so maddening. I am also worried that I will gain weight instead of losing it. Summer is definitely a tough time of the year to keep pounds off. Patience, Patience Patience..........

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
