Sweet Spot Definition

I would like input on how you interrupt the feeling when you hit your sweet spot. I don’t want to confuse it with being to tight.

What I am experiencing is a huge reduction in serving size. I can eat maybe 1 ½ Boneless chicken wing from Applebee’s before I get the full feeling in my throat. Is this the sweet spot or is this too tight. :confused2::confused2::confused2::confused2:

how long afterwards are you hungry again? if that sustains you till your next meal; your probably just fine - if your wanting a snack and hr or 2 later, well you might want to re-evaluate.

that meal probably wouldn't sustain me long enough, but i also prefer not to be too tight & try to enjoy a balance meal of meat/grains/veggies most of the time.

i think one has to take their lifestyle w/the caloric intake and find a balance that works for weightloss & getting to the sweet spot, may not be the case. it wasn't for me; the more restricted my food intake was, the less the scale moved.

good luck to you!!!

I knew I was at my sweet spot when I wasn't always planning my next meal. No need to be constantly munching. No constant fixation on food. It really REWIRED my brain. Seriously. I feel NORMAL!

Katy- i couldn't agree more- when I start roaming around the kitchen feeling dissatisfied, it's time for another fill!

It is such a relief to not be constantly thinking/worrying about food! The band rewired my brain too. I love it! And my normal friend (never been on a diet!) said exactly the same thing- she just doesn't think about food.< /p>

My sweet spot = I eat maybe 3-5 tablespoons of cottage cheese for lunch and I am full. chicken salad about the same amount. I can eat more of crunchy things like chips but, of course I try not to do that!

That is how I felt for the three days following my surgery. I was not fixated on food, I was not thinking about what I wanted to eat next and I was not woken up by my hunger while I was sleeping. I was told to keep in my memory the way I feel right after surgery since this is going to be the good old sweet spot I will working hard for. Now it's been three weeks since surgery and boy do I ever miss that feeling of being normal! I read postings daily to bring up my spirit....It will take time, some more than others to reach the sweet spot.

OK, I was banded on June 6th. I did really great, I lost 25 lbs within the first 6 weeks. I had my first fill on July 17. Since that time I have felt completely unrestricted. I gained a lb and a half. I saw my surgeon yesterday. He said that the 1.5 cc he had put in on the 17th was not there. So, he said I'm going to put in 2 cc. If you feel no restriction by Monday or Tuesday come back. I'll have to go in and see if your tubing has come off of the band. It's been 24 hrs. and I really feel restricted. The fluids are going down but slowly and with a little pain. So, now I'm wondering if I'm too tight?

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
