Reward when at goal

Recommended Posts

Those things have come along the way for me, I remember the purchase of my first pair of jeans in a normal store for example.

Last year I did the short, funky hair cut and got rid of the hair I'd been hiding behind for years.

And truly, I dont think the *end* ever comes. I'm STILL thinking oh, just 2 or 3 more kgs. You never go off this diet, so there's no end point. Truly, I dont have one ultimate goal.

But I guess a boob job would qualify, although I'm far from sure I'm going to do it yet.

And we will be ultra sexy in our little black dresses by this time next year, if not sooner.

Getting to goal and staying there for over two years has been reward enough. The material things I brought along the way, and thing I did are long forgotten, but the being healthy, and free from morbid obesity is more of a reward than I could have ever brought at a store.

Hi, wow your gonna love Ireland, I went a year ago the First of September for 14 days with one of my best friends it was our second trip to Ireland we went back in 2000 also. Ten to 15 days are the best amount of time to see everything, best time to go for the weather and less crowds is late August or early Sept. March can be cold and rainy. I took 500 photos and made a 45 page scrapbook. I have it at Scrapbook.com website

My name there is PatiB if you care to go see it.

I want to go back again with hubby this time. Maybe in a few years. And If I ever ever won any big money LOL I would be over their in a heartbeat, buying a vacation home in Kinsale, Ireland.

It's so magical and lovely and the people are great. Most beautiful scenery I have ever seen.

I just got banded on 7/31. Doing good so far, gas pain sucks, can't really tell when I am hungry, full, pain, etc. But I still feel really good.

My husband (not banded, he is a toothpick...hate him!) and I are going to be getting ourselves those $50.00 visa gift cards you can get at the grocery store, every payday. Mine is the money I am saving from eating, and his is the money he is saving from not smoking. When I am at goal, we are both going to buy ourselves new wardrobes and makeovers. I think it is going to be exciting. I can't wait for it!

I've done a series of small rewards along the journey ... new haircut and highlights when I hit 50 pounds, a braclet I've wanted for a few years when I hit the half way point so far ... coming up when I hit onederland will be a little shopping spree (definitely needed since it should be in a few weeks and my clothes are hanging off of me) ... not sure what I will do when I hit 100 pounds lost and when I hit goal, but it will be something good.

My husband and I talked about going to Cayman -- it's where we had our honeymoon. But I don't really want to go.

I just want to be at goal.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
