I was the day before you. I am feeling MUCH better now. 3-4 days after I was second guessing my decision to even do this because of the pain. My incisions are healing cause they're itching. I'm not having the left shoulder pain any longer...thank God. Now I'm just ready to get this show on the road and start exercising. How are you feeling?

Friday I got for my test at the hospital and if everything is good then I'll have my surgery on Monday the 15th, so please say some prayers for me, Love and Hugs Bobbie:thumbup::redface:

Looks like it is September 16th for me. I did get some questions answered today, thankfully!

My doctor does not require a pre-op diet. I still feel like I should do something? What do you think?

Now I am wondering what to expect. What do I expect in the hospital and then again when I get home? We are in close quarters and I have to go up two steps to the bathroom. Is this going to be a problem?

Good Luck to all the September Bandsters!

My surgeon's office says steps like that are fine. He even says two days post op, we can go up a flight of stairs. I'm glad I don't have to though. I don't like stairs... or I should say my back doesn't.

No liquid diet here. I'm next tuesday the 16th. OMG 1 week.

Just thought I would post on a few threads that I leave today for my surgery tomorrow.

I am scheduled for 9:30. My surgery is in Atlanta Ga. (Titus Duncan)

I am not nervous and I am excited to have a new relationship with food.

I would appreciate all your good thoughts and prayers.

Also, I know there are a few others having surgery within the next days so please post and keep us updated.

Teri,

The 16th? That is when I go with Dr. Burpee. I am glad it is just after the weekend, we will be busy and I won't get too nervous until Monday.

I am kind of scared. But also excited.

I'm starting to get nervous! I'm glad the day is nearing... and yes I'm glad the weekend is coming, then we only have monday to contend with. Monday I'll have therapy for the twins, so that'll make it go faster. And last minute shopping, and like that.

What are your plans for the weekend?

Hi Terilynn and all,

Well since we just moved in to a mobile, I will continue organzing it so that I don't feel the need to do something I don't have any business doing once I have the surgery. I will shop for things that I will need after surgery to make this change as easy as possible by not wishing for Jello, liquids etc. Hubby will be working so that won't help but will probably go on a ride on Sunday since the desert is so gorgeous right now...

Since I do photography, I may stop work and edit photos, that always consumes me....

Nothing too exciting huh? Anticipating the day... September 16!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
