Oh my gosh...I am SO HUNGRY. This is the hardest thing I have ever had to do. I'm only on day 6 of my post-op diet. I have to be on all liquids for another whole week and I am about to lose it.

How do you guys do it? I'm so hungry. I got banded on the 18 and I dont have any restriction. I'm hungry and ready to eat some REAL food. I am so sick of Protein Shakes and Jello. :smile2:

Any advice for food to eat on an all liquid diet?

I felt the same way. I had surgery on the 17th and I am hungry. On the full liquid phase, you have more to chose from. I have been buying any kind of campbells Soups and putting them in the blender to liquify and drinking that. soo good. I also have sugar-free chocolate pudding, yogurt, popsicles, sugar-free fudgesicles. Try some new stuff and maybe you won't feel deprived. I also wasn't getting enough Protein and Water and I think that is why I was feeling so hungry.

I was banded on 7/15/08 and on the full liquids. I'm 9 days post opt. I cannot wait to get to some decent food. I just can't eat more than one serving of popcycles, yougurt, or sugar free pudding. I'm concentrating on Protein Shakes to keep my hunger at bay.

I was banded on July 21. I keep telling myself to stay focused on the goal. Yes, I'm a little hungry. When I am I just drink more Clear Liquids and it helps. Everyone said this wasn't going to be a cure all. I guess they were right (lol)!

4 weeks post op here and I woke up from surgery starving. Was starving for days and felt kind of out of my mind with hunger. I was furious about it too = it was all very ugly. Well - the time passed pretty fast and at 12 days I couldn't take it anymore and dove head first into some cottage cheese, pudding, cream Soups, etc (2 days early) I admit - I broke the rules and maybe damaged my band and all the money I spent - but I did it and thats the truth. It did go by real fast though. Just nap as often as possible......

Hey! Sorry, I remember that feeling. Try some cream of chicken Soup. Add a can of skim milk instead of Water when you heat. Also add a little garlic powder and sage. The taste is more satisfying this way. My 16 yr old liked it so much she took it to work for lunch the day I made it. I am sorry for your discomfort. My dr, fortunately, allowed me to move on to mushies after day 8, but each surgeon is different. Hang in there, it will be better!

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...
