Hey everyone. Just wanted to check in and see if any of you are having the same problem I am. I am so paranoid and anxious. I had to stop exercising for a few days and I am so anxious now. I am afraid of food and I am afraid of gaining the weight back. I am paranoid already (even when i am able to exercise). I just can't stop thinking about how I have lost so much and still feel so big. I am so concerned. I have to continually feel my collar bones and wrists to make sure that I haven't gained any unwanted weight. I worry constantly about getting to my goal and I worry that I won't get there. Or that if i do get there, I will still feel and look fat (at least in my own mind). Anyone have some words of advice? I am going crazy.

I have similar feelings...

Even though I have lost quite a bit of weight, I still feel just as fat as I was before. When I look in the mirror, I see the same person I saw 50 pounds heavier. People tell me all day long how great I look and even complete strangers (grocery checker) noticed my loss, WHY CAN'T I! Physically I feel so much better, but mentally I am the same fatty I was before.

I do not like missing my daily workout & if I do, it throws me completely off.

I’m trying to make mini goals along the way to my goal. My next is to get in to a size 32 seven for all mankind jeans (expensive jeans I have been wanting to wear!).

I have to wonder if I will ever be satisfied with my weight.

I assume that's you in the pic, you look great. You sure don't look fat.

This is not meant to come across negatively, but it may help to get some counseling. food, like anything else can be an addiction...on the heavy end or the thin end. And, we have all had food issues, or we wouldn't be here.

SO, I'm down another 1.5 pounds to make 24.5 total.

I think I am going to call and see if I can't get in sooner for a fill though. I am starting to be able to eat more and getting hungrier WAY faster. Last week I was sitting in a staff meeting after having eaten less than an hour before and my tummy was rumbling so loud everyone around me could hear it...LOL!

I'm slow too. My surgery was the day before yours, and I have only lost 23 lbs. I had my second fill last week, and can maybe feel a little restriction. (cautiously optimistic anyway.) Up until now, I haven't had any restriction at all. We'll get there. Slow and steady wins the race.

That's a great way to look at it, I've only lost 24lbs since my band date(the other 13lbs was on 2wk pre-op) but I go for my second fill today and am really wanting good restriction, needless to say. these people that have lost 50 or so lbs already, I wonder what they are doing that I'm not. I'm truely happy for them but would like to join them. I guess in the end I'll meet up with um and should just be happy to be one of the losers. I'm still optimistic and hoping we all have better stats next week. I have all intentions of meeting my goal by april. good luck to all!!

Their doctor probably just has a different theory. They are more aggressive. My doctor is not aggressive at all. I can only get a fill every four weeks, etc. I get so impatient. I waited almost a year to get to have this surgery, and now I feel like I've gotta' wait four or five months for it to start working. I haven't worked so hard at dieting in years. It will be worth it, though.

Hey, I just found this thread. I am down 39lbs counting the pre-op. I missed my Sept goal by 1 lb. I work on 10lbs at a time. So, Oct, I hope to be down 10 more. It is hard, but worth it! I couldn't do it without the band.

Congratz!!! You seem to be doing great!! You have a good philosophy about taking it a bit at a time.

I weighed myself yesterday after waiting 2 weeks to weigh in and was down 4 pounds. I was a bit disappointed. I have been watching calories burned versus calories in and felt that I should have lost more. I had perfect restriction 2 days prior to starting my period. I have a fill next week and am hoping the doctor will hit my sweet spot. Total since July is 54 pounds and that is not bad, but I am a bit of an over achiever and wanted more weight gone.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
