How much have you lost July Butterfllies??

Recommended Posts

my 1 year will be 7/28... although I haven't lost that many pounds, I have lost plenty of inches. I am in the best physical shape in my life. Gotta love the band. I had hit a plataeu for a few months, but things are moving again (in the right direction). This was the best birthday present I ever gave myself (birthday is 7/29)

I think I've become addicted to the gym, loving the results. I work out between 5-6 times a week. Nothing strenuous, I walk on the treadmill for 40 minutes (incline of 14, speed of 3.0) and do a little strength training. It is definetly a mind thing, to think the solution to being overweight was always right there in my face..... Consume less calories, and exercise... duh:thumbup:

I just passed my one year anniversary and I have lost a total of 85 lbs!! While I have a way to go still, the difference is amazing - people I have known for years barely recognize me. I can't wait to lose the rest and have been losing slowly but surely, so I am (for the first time) really confident it is just a matter of time until I get there!!

I passed my one year mark as well, and I am down 68 lbs. I feel so much more healthy and a lot less blah. I actually feel like taking a walk, or doing physical activity. I have set a goal to be in onederland by New Years, so I have a lot of work to do. The best part about this whole process is that I have gone an entire year without a significant gain!!!! I know that before my band I probably would have gained another 10-20lbs in a year. I will never have to worry about that again!!

Awesome weight loss! Congrats! I had and unfill in April and started putting it back last month. I think I have 5.7cc in a 10cc band. I go on thursday for a fill. I am not quite at a sweet spot.

Well, I am a little past my 1 year mark and have lost 81 lbs. I wanted to be at 100lbs lost, but I am happy with what I have accomplished. I hope to begin exercising so I will begin to lose again. I haven't lost anything in a while, but I don't need a fill, I just need to get the lead out of my A--!

For me, I'm at 72lbs lost and 20lbs to go. My fill is at 5.8 in a 10cc band but my fill level is only 9cc's. My goal may not be as low as some of you others, I'm shooting for 155lbs because I'm 5"6 and kinda wide. What are some of ya'lls goal weights and how tall are ya?

Hi July Butterflies!!

I am somewhat new to this forum...I had joined when I was banded on July 22, 2008 but never really used the site or posted. Since my surgery I have lost 67 lbs.

I finally decided to try to post because I have been in a rut. I've seen myself slowly slip into hold habits such as frequent snacking and grazing. I'm not happy with my current eating habits so I've turned to this forum for support.

Although I am happy with the weight I have lost so far, I know I could have lost more in the past year. But I also realize that I can get my butt in gear now to do what I have to do to get back on track. I started the 5 day pouch test today on the suggestion of someone on this forum. I had a Protein Shake for Breakfast and lunch and made an awesome pumpkin sausage Soup for dinner. (I got the recipe from the 5 day pouch test website) The soup was absolutely delicious!! Now it could have had something to do with the fact that I was starving but I really thought it was fantastic.

So hopefully I will get myself back on track. I really take comfort in reading about others experiences and am hoping that we can all help and support each other.

July 15th was the 1 year mark for me. I'm so close to goal. 140 was the normal BMI range for my height of 5'3. I thought if I got down to 135, that would give me 5 pounds to play around with. So I'm right about at goal.

Wow Melody, that is great!! 120 lbs lost in a year!! How did you do that? You must have stayed 100% committed. I wish I could say the same for myself. I am definitely happy with my 71 lbs lost so far but I know I could have done much better. I found my old habits sneaking back into my lifestyle. But I am trying to take control again.

I did the 5 day pouch test last week and lost 5 lbs!! I didn't have the best weekend though because I had a party to go to but at least I am not grazing all day like I was before I did the 5 DPT. I feel like I am in more control again. :)

Melody.............Wow! Awesome weight loss.........care to share any tips? How many calories did you eat a day? I just went to the nutritionist today. I start on a 1000cal tomorrow. Next month I go to breathe in a machine to measure my metabolism and found out how many calories I need to be eating. I am kind of excited having a personal nutritionist.

I am having a heck of a time keeping my calories to 1000. So far, the lowest is 1021. I haven't lost weight either.

Hey, where is everybody? Are we done?

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
