Nike + question

Recommended Posts

:confused2:Hey guyz I am hoping maybe one of you can answer a question for me...

I have been using the nike+ for a while now and just now got back into trying to get my "jogging" back in since surgery...

today I did my usual walk which is 3.4 miles in 1 hour...

I usually have shin pain so I walked the first 1.7 miles to make sure I was WARMED up and then I jogged 60 seconds at every quater mile marker and continued my "brisk walk" until the mext marker...

I did 29.5 minutes down and ended with 57 minutes flat... so I know I cut time off and my brisk walk was showing about right... (16.58 minute/mile)

what I noticed was that while I was jogging my pace on my ipod was showing slower??? (21 minute/mile)

I cut 2.5 minutes off of my time on the way back and the distance I expected to be off because of the difference in the stride... (showed 3.2 miles instead of 3.4 miles)

Is it because my ipod is set to my stride for walking maybe???

and if I continue with this routine will my numbers be off every walk/run until I can reset for running???

I have tried the couch to 5K and the same music gets to me so I set my timer for 60 second to start out and am trying to do it this way to have my music to "run" to....

any thoughts of suggestions would be great...

thanx,

Kim

hmmmm ... weird.

have you calibrated it recently? was it on treadmill or not? i found mine is always wonky on a treadmill.

and different but same - i have a (private) LBT challenge on the Nike+ website, PM me your ID and i can include you if you'd like.

good luck

it's dead on for walking... our park has a mile post every quarter mile so it's easy to keep track of... just when I start running...

it will go blank and then say it's way slower then it should be...

all I can think of is the stride is so different...

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
