got back from hols yesterday and had a weigh in this morning. Have to say, I went out with the family every night for dinner and had fish every night bar one were I have singapore rice.

So the weigh in this morning I was a bit anxious as I thought I may have put on maybe a pound and wieghed 16st 11lbs, so the weight is still coming off. It looks like 3 lbs a week which is amazing me.

Looking forward to my fill in Sept, off too Spain for a week on Monday.

took the family out today as my boy just got his exam results from school. We went to the red hot buffet, which serves several different types of cuisine, chinese, indian, mexican, italian etc etc. Its eat all you can buffet.

Tried a small portion of rice and one piece of lamp rogan josh, very nice but really struggled to get the lamb down, so gave up, but sauce was nice. Then had a small portion of rice with sweet and sour pork, again struggled to get the pork down but enjoyed the rice and sauce.

Absolutley stuffed, and didn;t desire anything else to eat but watched the kids really enjoy themselves.

Pre op, I would have eaten 3 if not 4 plate fulls of a mix of foods and the plates would have been mountains and so stuffed, I would be uncomfortable. Watching others eat the way I used too brings it all back in perspective.

Phycologically I could never had done this, having tried for many years, doing it physically has really worked for me, although I am sure when I have my fill I would have only managed one small portion of food and not 2 as I did today, so I am really anxious to get my first fill.

I have too say I have, losing this amount of weight within approx 10mweeks has blown me, my family and fiends away.

I was at a do at the weekend and say fiends I haven't seen for 3/4 months and they were astounded, one didn't even recognise me.

What a great life.

Brilliant Kev, buffets are murder for me, love getting my moneys worth.

And only 19lb from target you will be there soon I think. 14st your new target I see, I agree, I really think you can do it!!

Oh for deeper pockets for me so get my band sooner. Ah well patience is character building.

well I seem to have exhausted my weight loss for now, I can eat a little more as my band seems to have minimum restriction at the moment, had a weigh in this mornin and still 16th 3lbs.

I am due my first fill on the 18th Sept and cannot wait till then.

Hope I can keep at 16st 3lbs until then, although my appetite seems to be very small these days.

Kev, I've said it before and I'll say and now, and I really hope I can say many more times - WELL DONE.

It's amazing not even a fill yet and you are only 1 stone short of your original target :lovechoc:

Keep up the good work and I hope your fill goes well next week.

cheers, to be honest I have found it really easy,

I always eat 2 slices of wholemeal (alisons wholemeal batch) for Breakfast with either lime marmalade or marmite, depending on how I feel, it generally takes me at least 20 mins and the last slice is always cold but I enjoy eating it. Sometimes, I can only manage to eat one.

Throughout work I drink lots of Water, its amazing how good Water tastes with ice :-)

I will then have a yougut at lunch, a yougout or a slice of toast when I get home.

Then for my evening meal I will eat approx 1/4 of what I used to eat, I do try and fill my plate half full, remembering it used to be full to over flowing, and I would get more once finished, but I always never finish half a plate, its just to much.

I continue to drink water throughout the day.

I generally have a cup of coffee when I get to work, maybe one around 11am, but generally its one a day. Before I would have at elast 4/5 cups of coffee a day and maybe 3/4 cups of tea.

So in all I have found it really easy and amaze myself all the time with the weight loss. I have bumbed into so many people whos mouths drop when they see me, as they cannot believe its the same man they saw maybe 3/4 months ago.

Thank you too the lapband :lovechoc:

had 1st fill today, no pain at all, just weird sensation when the neddle was being taken out, the port seemed to waNt to come out as well.

Had some Water and felt the restriction again, got home and has a small bowl of Soup and has lots of restriction it took me 25mins to eat it. WOW.

Looking forwar to the next 48hrs as I can only have fluids again. Will be intersting to eat something like wholemeal toast after that period.

Looking forward to the next month as I have had little if any restriction for about 2 weeks.

would be interested if anyone else here was at the consultation today, heard several stories.

X

well 3 days in form having 1st fill on Thursday, full restriction again.

I am only able to eat half a slice of wholemeal toast in the morning, although I am still toasting 2 slices, I guess the dogs are doing well in the morning as they also love wholemeal and lime marmalade.

Family had a chinese takeaway yesterday, I managed half a cup of chicken and mushroom Soup, after 20 mins I gave up eating the rest. I also tried some egg fried rice with sweet and sour sauce and only managed a couple fo spoonfuls.

I had a handful of grapes later on.

So all in all, back to the restriction I had when I had the op, so am well happy.

Hopefully can get into the 14st mark within the next month, am down to 15st 12lbs.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
