Mattoon area bandsters??

Recommended Posts

I usually have Dr. R give me the fills b/c he's awesome. The PA is really nice to me and supportive, but she stuck me wrong one time and I'm a bit of a shot weenie. So if Dr. R is there, I have him do it. Plus a bit of me is saying hmmm I pay $70 a fill so he can do it! lol

I'm just about at my sweet spot, if not there right now. So I won't go back for at least 2 months.

I get my fills standing up? What do you do?

I believe the reason I haven't lost faster is b/c of me. I'm struggling right now with what to eat for lunch and such? I'm getting bored, so I tend to not be good all the time. Bad Lori!

Did you know he partnered with Dr. Baker (plastic surgeon) and are opening an office in Champaign. I think it's cool. Cause if I ever lose enough to need plastic surgery I'd go to Dr. Baker.

I have never had a problem with my fills and her. I don’t blame you for having him do them! Plus he is cute! LOL I was private pay so I don't have to pay for a year of fills and I think I am where I want to stay at 9cc's, I keep debating if I should go back for one more check before my year in August.

I do my fills lying down. I am still real numb around my port so it just feels weird not really a hurt just strange.

I have not heard about him teaming up with Dr. Baker! I too will need some plastic surgery after I get all my weight off! My arms and stomach are already bad!

I too struggle with what to eat. I had not lost anything for a month and just kept snacking on my kid’s leftovers and not watching what I ate! I have found that chips go down easy and had a bad habit of eating chips and dip for lunch! NOT A GOOD IDEA! LOL Yep, my slow weight loss is just my bad habits! I just wish there was a support group close! I make that comment every time I go in!

Hey team! I'm freshly banded and living in Charleston. I know this is an old forum but I'm hoping some newer people from the area will see it. :)

Penny....

I would love to start a local support group for the Mattoon/charleston area for weight loss patients. I just have not found that many people who are in our area. I was banded on june 17th of 2010. Best decision I ever made. I have lost 168 lbs to date. I have 30lbs to go till my goal weight. Let me know if you would like to work together and get a support group up an running. Just message me here and I will get it.

Question for anyone, how did you get your mind right before surgery? Like as far as eating better foods and just doing better in general? I'm having a really hard time with this. Any help is appreciated 🙏❤️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
