Would anyone know?? Birth Control pills !!!!

Recommended Posts

I think the pills for birth control are very small. I take a daily high blood pressure pill that is very small. I have not missed one day of my blood pressure medication since surgery. You can call your pharmacist about the effects of crushing. If its small, just take it!

I take Yaz and was told to not take my pills for a month before the surgery (blood clotting issues) and at first I was told to wait a week after the surgery and then start taking them again, but then another surgeon in the same practice told me to wait a month (again because of blood clotting issues - however, I don't smoke, and I'm not over 35 so I would think that I'd be at a lower risk, but, whatever), so I decided to wait until I get my period again...which should be starting soon...

I was just banded on the 6th of June and know my doctor is stating that all of my pills taken before hand must be crushed. Well I am on birth contol pills for period assistance. Does anyone know the effect of crushing birth control pills??? Do they remain effective?? The reason why I am asking is 2 fold - 1) Since my surgery, I have begin spotting very light, but am not scheduled to begin my period for a few weeks. Does that have to do with the crushing or just because of the surgery??? and 2) I went throught ferility issues and was told I had policystic ovaries - I know with the drastic weight loss, there is a possibility that I could get pregant!! I would love that thought, but I would like that to happen after a year or maybe 2. One hurdle at a time, and right now - my goal is to get to my goal weight....

Any answers would be greatly appreciated,

Jessica:eek:

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
